    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for increasing the transmit power of wireless communication devices operating on power spectral density (PSD)-limited wireless channels. Some implementations more specifically relate to tone mapping techniques and packet designs that support duplicate (or "DUP mode") transmissions to multiple users. In some implementations, an access point (AP) may transmit a PPDU that includes first user data and second user data, where at least the first user data is transmitted in a DUP mode. As such, the first user data may be mapped to a number (N) of tones spanning a first RU in accordance with a dual carrier modulation (DCM) scheme, and a duplicate copy of the first user data may be mapped to N tones spanning a second RU in accordance with the DCM scheme. In some implementations, the second user data also may be transmitted in a DUP mode.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for radio frequency (RF) sensing in wireless communication systems. In some implementations, a transmitter device transmits sounding sequences configured for channel estimation over a wireless channel to a receiver device. The transmitter device also transmits or receives non-sounding frames associated with a channel report of the receiver device. The transmitter device transmits a frame soliciting the channel report from the receiver device. The transmitter device receives the channel report, which may include channel state information (CSI) of the wireless channel responsive to at least the sounding sequences. Some types of channel reports may take longer to generate than other types of channel reports. Transmitting or receiving the non-sounding frames during the time period may prevent other devices from accessing the wireless channel when the receiver device needs additional time to generate a certain type of channel report.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for soliciting trigger-based (TB) physical layer protocol convergence protocol (PLCP) protocol data units (PPDUs). Some implementations more specifically relate to trigger frame designs that support non-legacy TB PPDU formats. In some aspects, a trigger frame may carry information to be included in a physical layer (PHY) preamble of a TB PPDU solicited by the trigger frame. For example, the information may indicate values of one or more subfields of a universal signal field (U-SIG) associated with the non-legacy TB PPDU format. In some aspects, the information may be carried in a special user information field of the trigger frame. For example, the special user information field may be identified by a special association identifier (AID) value. The special AID value may be different than any AID values assigned to wireless communication devices in a basic service set (BSS) associated with the TB PPDU.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for clear channel assessment (CCA). In one aspect a device performs a first clear channel assessment (CCA) check on a primary subchannel of a channel having a total bandwidth greater than or equal to 40 megahertz (MHz), a plurality of subchannels of the channel collectively spanning the total bandwidth of the channel, the plurality of subchannels including the primary subchannel and one or more secondary subchannels, the primary subchannel and the one or more secondary subchannels each having a bandwidth of 20 MHz, performs, on each of the one or more secondary subchannels, a respective second CCA check, and transmits a communication on the channel based on a status of each of the primary subchannel and the one or more secondary subchannels that is based on the performance of the respective second CCA check or the first CCA check.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for concurrently transmitting beamformed data from each of a plurality of access points (APs) to a wireless station (STA). In some implementations, the plurality of APs may operate as a distributed antenna array, and carrier signals of the plurality of APs may be synchronized with each other. A beamforming steering matrix may be determined for each of the plurality of APs, and beamformed data may be concurrently transmitted from each of the plurality of APs to the STA based on corresponding ones of the plurality of beamforming steering matrices.

    Abstract: Techniques are described herein for selecting network parameters based on feedback in a wireless network. An access point (AP) may collect feedback information from a plurality of stations (STAs), The AP may broadcast out queries seeking information to the STAs. Hie AP may collect statistics about network parameters preferred by the STAs. The AP may select a network parameter based at least m part on collecting the statistics. The AP may collect the statistics without identifying the individual STAs that are responding. The AP may gather responses using a two-message system, where a first message informs the STAs about the feedback being requested and a second message requests that the STAs transmit the feedback to the AP.

    Abstract: An access point (AP) may signal management frames that include two operation information fields indicating two channel widths for different classes of wireless stations (STAs). STAs may identify one of the two operation information fields based on capabilities of the STA (e.g., whether or not the STA is capable of dual band channel bonding, resource unit or physical channel puncturing, etc.). In some cases, one operation information field may indicate a channel width within a first and second frequency band (e.g., within the 5 GHz band and the 6 GHz band), as well as a puncturing scheme associated with the channel width. In some cases, the operation information field may indicate a dual band channel bonding configuration, where two frequency segments associated with the channel bonding configuration are in two different frequency bands. In some cases, a tightened spectral mask may be used for such dual band channel bonding configurations.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to signaling medium reservation information medium sharing among multiple radio technologies (RATs) are provided. A wireless communication device of a first RAT detects a channel reservation signal of a second RAT in a spectrum shared by the first RAT and the second RAT. The wireless communication device determines whether the channel reservation signal indicates a first transmission opportunity (TXOP) duration or a second TXOP duration that is different from the first TXOP duration. The wireless communication device selects, based on the determination, at least one of performing a backoff or continuing to monitor the spectrum.
