Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce heat dissipation into a die bolt, utilize all of heat energy to only the axial thermal expansion of the die bolt and prevent the deterioration of slit gap regulating capacity, by employing an alloy steel, having a low heat conductivity and high tensile strength, as the material of the main body of a die, and an auxiliary heating device. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material extruding die consisting of a plurality of die bolts arranged in the widthwise direction of a slit, the die bolts and an auxiliary heating means are provided while the die bolts and the auxiliary heating means are constituted or a corrosion and heat resistant super alloy steel or the like, having the heat conductivity of 5-25kcal/m.hr. deg.C under a practical temperature of 20 deg.C-700 deg.C of the die bolt and the tensile strength of 70-150kg/mm under the same temperature. This metal should contain the total amount of composition of Ni and Cr of substantially 50%-95% by weight %.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep a good controllability of heat energy and to obtain a die for extruding a sheet-like material of uniform thickness by providing a controlling device being able to control the amt. of heat energy supplied to whole pushing/pulling transmitting devices to be constant. CONSTITUTION:Before extruding a thermoplastic resin, the temp. of a die for extrusion and the thermoplastic resin are kept almost uniform at T deg.C by the heat energy Q1 supplied to a main heating device 2. The energy supplied to whole supplementary heating devices 4 is Q2 and the energy supplied to each supplementary heating device 41-49 is equally Q2/9. Marry sets of pushing/ pulling transmitting devices 3 almost uniformly thermally expand with a specified amt. over he whole width of the die. A controlling device 10, keeping the whole energy Q2 supplied to the supplementary heating devices 41-49 to be constant by reducing an energy DELTAQ2 supplied to each supplementary heating device 41-43, 46-49 to offset the increment DELTAQ2 supplied to the supplementary heating device 45 to keep the thickness of the extruded film to be constant, is provided.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a prolonged operation while controlling the width-wise thickness evenly by providing a plurality of heat transfer bodies, heating elements and radiating elements at points along the length of at least one of a pair of lip blocks forming a sheet-shaped matter molding slit section. CONSTITUTION:A melt of a high polymer is put into a cap body 1 as shown by the arrow A and expanded along the width of the cap at a manifold 2. Then, it is discharged in the from of a melt film or plate in the direction of the arrow B from the slit section 3. On the othe hand, the right lip block 11 is equipped with a number of heaters 4 along the length of the cap. The heaters 4 are each made up of a heat transfer body 40 provided with a part thereof inserted into the lip block 11 while the other part thereof is projected thereoutside, a heating element 41 provided with a part thereof at a portion of the heat transfer body 40 positioned in the lip block 11 and a discharging element 42 provided at a portion of the heat transfer body 40 positioned outside the lip block 11. This eliminates disturbance of the atmosphere near the exhaust section as accompanied by cooling thereby producing an evenly thick sheet-shaped matter without any new uneven thickness.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To speed up the control of a slit gap and manufacture the sheet with high accuracy of thickness by a method wherein slit gap controlling mechanisms, each of which consists in imbedding a heat generating body in a bridge portion with no substantial play, are provided so as to thermally expand the heat generating body. CONSTITUTION:A heater 11 is imbedded in each bridge portion 40 with no substantial play. An electric signal, which is inputted to a heater 11 in order for the bridge portion 40 to produce the amount of thermal expansion corresponding to the result of calculation, is instructed. Because members 37 and 39 belonging to thick-walled portions are completely fixed by means of bolts 50, thin-walled portions 36 and 36a or less-rigid portions are thermally expanded in the direction towards a slit 33 by the heat generated in the heater 11, resulting in deforming said portions 36 and 36a by pushing themselves and controlling the amount of pushing and pulling of a rip block 34 to form the slit 33. Thus, the gap of the slit 33 is controlled with speed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make uniform the thickness of the opposite ends of a molded film by a method wherein sealing members for sealing the opposite ends of a slit are connected under pressure to the main body of a mouth piece by side plates having the same sectional shape as a discharging element. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of slit gap adjusting devices each comprising a cut- out 6 and a slit gap adjusting bolt 7 are provided in the vicinity of the end of the main body 1 of a mouth piece having a slit 5 discharging a melted material in the shape of a film or a plate, and in the direction of the width of the slit 5. The opposite ends of this slit 5 are sealed with sealing members 2 each having a cut-out 6' by means of side plates 3 each being provided with a slit 5'' having the same sectional shape with that of a discharging element, and a cut-out 6''.
