    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having improved vibration adhesivity and further excellent in inherit characteristics of nylon resin such as formability and toughness by compounding a glass fiber-reinforced nylon resin with a specific polyamide elastomer.     Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester polymer high in Tg, excellent in heat stability and useful as an engineering plastic by the alternating ring-opening copolymerization of a cylohexane oxide derivative with cyclic acid anhydrides. CONSTITUTION: This polymer comprisees 90 to 100mol% repeat units represented by formula I and 10 to 0mol% branch units represented by formula II, wherein R1 and R2 each represent a structure linked through C1-5 alkyl or C1-5 alkylene, X represents a bivalent organi group excluding straight-chain alkylene and 1,2-phenylene, Y represents a tetravalent organic residue, and n is an integer of 2 or more. This polymer can be prepared by polymerizing cyclohexene oxide (or its derivative) of formula III and a cyclic acid anhydride of formula IV in substantially equimolar amounts and a bicyclic acid anhydride of formula V in an amount of 0 to 10mol% based on the cyclohexene oxide (derivative) in the presence of a polymerization catalyst at 50 deg.C above in an organic solvent or without using any organic solvent.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the-subject composition, containing a thermoplastic polyester resin, ammonium polyphosphate and a salt of a specific compound with cyanuric acid, excellent in mechanical properties without emitting toxic gases or corrosive gases such as hydrogen halides and useful as a connector, etc. CONSTITUTION:This flame retardant resin composition is obtained by adding (B) 0.5-100 pts.wt. ammonium polyphosphate [e.g. a compound expressed by formula I [(n) is the polymerization degree and 5-300]] and (C) 0.5-100 pts.wt. salt composed of a compound expressed by formula II (R1 to R4 each is H, an aryl, an alkyl, an aralkyl, a cycloalkyl or CONH2; R is same as NR1R2 or NR3R4) (preferably melamine) and (iso)cyanuric acid to (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester resin (preferably polybutylene terephthalate, etc.).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject polymer having high molecular weight and useful as an organic photo-conductive material and electrically conductive material in high yield by carrying out oxidative polymerization of a specific carbazole compound in the presence of a Lewis acid and a vanadium compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective polymer of formula II is produced by the oxidative polymerization of a carbazole compound of formula I (R is H or 1-20C univalent aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon group) in the presence of a Lewis acid such as aluminum halide and a vanadium compound such as a pentavalent vanadium compound. The amount of the vanadium compound is 0.0001-10mol per 1mol of the compound of formula I and is preferably 0.1-10mol when a pentavalent vanadium compound is used as an oxidizing agent and 0.0001-5mol when a zero-valent to tetravalent vanadium compound is used as an oxidation catalyst in an oxygen atmosphere.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition prepared by blending a specified polyphosphonic acid amide as a flame-retardant with a thermoplastic polyester, remarkably excellent in flame retardancy, capable of molding without generating a volatile substance and exhibiting an excellent hydrolysis resistance. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition is prepared by blending (B) 0.5 to 100 pts.wt. polyphosphonic acid amide having a repeating structural unit of the formula (R is an aryl, an alkyl, etc.; R and R are each H or an alkyl; Y is a divalent heteroaromatic ring residue) with (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester (preferably polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, etc.) synthesized from a 8 to 20C aromatic dicarboxylic acid and/or its lower alkyl ester and a 2 to 20C aliphatic diol and/or alicyclic diol as the starting raw materials. In addition, a compound in which Y in the formula is a triazine residue is preferably used as the component (B). This component (B) is obtained generally by reacting a diamine with an aryl- or alkyl-phosphonic acid dihalide in the presence of a hydrogen halide scavenger in a solvent.
