    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain carbon fiber pile fabric useful as an electroconductive material for an electrode excellent in electroconductive performances and uniformity of weight, comprising carbon fiber-containing pile yarn and base fabric, by making both a cut pile and a loop pile coexist. SOLUTION: Carbon fiber multifilament yarn is used as ground yarns 2, 3 and 4 of base fabric 1 of pile fabric and pile yarn 5 and woven by a velvet weaving machine to give carbon fiber pile fabric, which is baked at a temperature higher than the baking temperature of the carbon fiber multifilament and the loop pile shape of the pile yarn 5 is fixed. Then the tip of each loop pile is cut to give the objective carbon fiber pile fabric comprising at least 50% ratio by number of cut piles 5c which have 0.2-20mm curvature radius at the tips and form an S-like curvilinear shape from the base fabric 1 to the tip part in a side view among the pile yarn 5 and having 0.6-50cc/g specific volume of napped part.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce the metallic luster of a long and short composite yarn having a staple fiber bundle arranged in a core and a continuous filament yarn arranged in a sheath, prevent the transparency when formed into a knitted or a woven fabric and impart a dry touch and a refreshing visual feelings by twisting a part of fibers constituting a continuous filament bundle in the direction opposite the twisting direction. CONSTITUTION: This long and short composite yarn is obtained by twisting and winding a part of fibers constituting a continuous filament yarn in the opposite twisting direction around a staple fiber bundle in the long and short composite yarn prepared by twisting and winding the continuous filament yarn 3 around the staple fiber bundle. The staple fiber bundle 2 in an overfeeding state is fed to the opened continuous filament yarn 3 to widely diffuse a twisting starting point of single filaments 3' in the continuous filament yarn in the yarn axial direction. Not only the single filaments 3' are twisted at a larger twisting angle than that of the staple fiber bundle 2 but also a part of the single filaments 3" which cannot be absorbed in the twisting down of a yarn body are capable of inducing a twisting up phenomenon in the direction opposite to the forward direction of the yarn body and arranged in the direction opposite to the twisting direction of the yarn body. Thereby, a part of fibers constituting the continuous filament yarn is twisted and wound in the direction opposite to the twisting direction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a furry pile fabric, having piles, consisting of stinging naps and downy naps having both sharpened ends and raised from a base fabric in a special structure and providing a touch remarkably resembling that of natural high-class fur. CONSTITUTION:In the aimed fabric, piles having a mixed spun yarn structure in which many stinging naps 2 and downy naps 3 are mixed are raised from a base fabric 4. All the fibers constituting the stinging naps 2 and downy naps 3 have both sharpened ends. The fibers constituting the downy naps 3 have crimps. Both the fibers are raised, assuming two states as follows. The sides of both ends are raised and and the side of one end is raised and the side of the other end is substantially embedded in the side of the base fabric.
