Abstract:
In a device for spraying on pigmented liquids by means of an air flow comprising a base body, a spray nozzle disposed at the front side of the base body, said spray nozzle having a needle acted upon by a spring disposed in the centre thereof, a compressed air inlet and an adjacent compressed air duct, an inlet for a pigmented liquid, with a controllable compressed air flow supplied via the compressed air duct being guided past an inlet for the pigmented liquid where it is loaded with droplets of liquid, said droplets of liquid being discharged by the spray nozzle as long as the compressed air flow is maintained, it is provided that the nozzle (5) and the needle (12) are positioned in a nozzle carrier (10), with the nozzle carrier (10) being provided with the inlet (17) for the pigmented liquid, and with the nozzle carrier being removable or replaceable, respectively, as a whole.
Abstract:
Apparatuses and methods for applying a coating to an ear of corn are disclosed. An enclosure having a user accessible workspace and a motor to turn an ear of corn therein to apply a coating to the ear of corn rotated by the motor is also disclosed. The method includes providing an enclosure with a user accessible workspace for housing a motor assembly having a motor with a grip, releasably securing the ear of corn to the grip, rotating the ear of corn with the motor, and spraying the coating on the ear of corn with the coating applicator associated with the workspace. Each ear of corn has an identifier to track and index the ear corn during coating and drying.
Abstract:
A spray gun with pressure display for applying paint onto a painted object by atomizing the paint with compressed air. A pressure indicating device includes a digitally displayed pressure sensor (25), a pressure transducer part (24), and a display part (27) unitized with each other. The pressure indicating device is detachably installed on a spray gun body, and adapters (21, 22) without a pressure indication function are detachably fitted to the spray gun body according to the shape of the body grip part so that the presence or absence of the pressure indication function can be selected before use. The spray gun can be used under controlled conditions by allowing a worker to detect an air pressure at hand during spraying operation since the spraying air pressure largely affects paint finish as well as dispersion of atomized paint.
Abstract:
A fluid applicator. The fluid applicator includes a body having a nozzle and trigger and optionally at least one part connected to the body, the body having a groove therein; and a removable color-coded identification clip made of a flexible material positioned in the groove in the body. The invention also involves a method of identifying a fluid applicator.
Abstract:
A cleaning unit for cleaning a spray gun positioned in or within a direct vicinity to a spray booth includes a cleaning nozzle and a media delivering system. A valve communicates with the media delivering system and controls an outflow of cleaning media from the cleaning nozzle.
Abstract:
An autonomous equipment for the application of paints, utilizable with rechargeable rolls or spraying pistols, and that covers a portable tank that has two separate storage chambers, one to keep the paint and the other one to keep the operative components of the equipment, such as a bomb, a motor and the elements for control and feeding.
Abstract:
A method for sanitizing scuba diving equipment including aqua lungs, wet-suits, fins, caps and masks comprises exposing confined parts of the gear such as hoses, pressure regulators and mouthpieces to a pressurized flow of fluid using a fluid-conditioning spray gun adapted to mix a germicidal solution into a jet of water or other fluid carrier. The spray gun has a conical nozzle provided with a set of graduated, flexible, feather-edged disks or barbs that can hermetically mate with a number of scuba diving component apertures of different sizes and shapes.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention provides a device for applying a coating, which includes a multi-component cartridge, a static mixing nozzle in fluid communication with the cartridge, and at least one paint applicator selected from the group including a roller, a brush, and an angled spray tip, in fluid communication with the nozzle. Another embodiment of the invention provides a method, which includes applying a coating to a surface with the above-described device. Another embodiment of the invention provides a method, which includes applying a non-skid coating to a surface with the above-described device.
Abstract:
A backpack sprayer for spraying arthropods or arthropod eggs, such as beneficial mites or beneficial insect eggs, or insect eggs containing parasitoids, directly onto plants is disclosed which uses excess air generated by a compressor to produce a coarse or fine spray of an aqueous suspension containing the arthropods or eggs as they exit from a spray gun. A stir bar magnet in a spray tank, controlled by a magnetic stirrer motor, keeps the arthropods or eggs evenly suspended in an aqueous solution. The sprayer provides an economical and alternative strategy for the delivery of arthropods such as beneficial mites and eggs to agricultural commodities.
