Abstract:
The present invention relates to production method of a composite material wherein the composite material is tensioned and cured to produce a composite material with a single cord or cord fabric reinforced with another component, comprising the steps of adhering at least two layers of compound material, attaching the adhered compound materials inside a hollow frame, placing said frame into a pre-tensioning device, wrapping the cords around the frame with the desired pre-tension, removing the frame together with the compound material and the cords from the pre-tensioning device, placing at least one layer of compound material on the curing tray, placing the coated frame removed from the pre-tensioning device onto the compound material layers, placing at least one more layer of compound material on the coated frame, closing the lid over the curing tray, curing the material and cutting the composite material into strips.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an essentially tubular flexible packaging intended for containing a semi-liquid or pasty product, which includes an apron, a head, an added piece of material at least on the inside of the apron, and optionally a lid, the apron consisting of a rolled-up sheet and comprising a longitudinal weld for assembling the edges thereof together, and the head being attached to the edge of one of the ends of the apron. The apron includes a ratio of at least 30% of recycled material or material from renewable resources, and the added piece of material is arranged so as to eliminate a discontinuity in the inner surface in the area of the longitudinal weld.
Abstract:
A wind turbine blade comprising a spar and a method of preparing these are provided. The spar comprises a laminated member having a surface to be connected to the surface shells of the blade reinforced by oriented first type fibres and the first type fibres are supported by second type fibres. Aspects concerning buckling, cross-sectional shape, twisting of fibres, straightness of fibres and electrical potential equalising are also considered. A band comprising fibres for electrical potential equalising is also provided. The wind turbine blade and elements of it will be appreciated for being relatively light, stiff and easy to manufacture, for example by automated processes.
Abstract:
Provided herein is a process for forming a 3D object on a substrate using liquid inkjet compositions, machinery and methodologies, devoid of dry powders or UV-curable agents. The 3D object is digitally printed according to the additive approach, by inkjet printing a top layer over a base layer before curing the base layer, whereas a layer is formed as a gel, and the gelatinous object is thereafter cured.
Abstract:
A method for preparing a composite material that includes the steps of: (i) heat treating natural lignocellulosic fibers at a temperature of 130 to 320° C. for 2 minutes to 24 hours in an atmosphere oxygen-deficient in and in the presence of water vapor, and (ii) mixing the heat treated natural lignocellulosic fibers with at least one thermoplastic polymer in the molten state and whose melting point is less than or equal to 230° C. The method is useful for producing vehicle parts from a composite material having natural lignocellulosic fibers with reduced volatile organic compound odor emissions.
Abstract:
A liquid-crystalline resin composition is provided, containing: a liquid-crystalline resin; and a fibrous filler formed of crystalline polysaccharides, in which a 5% weight loss temperature of the fibrous filler is 280° C. or higher.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for producing a fiber-foam composite (FSV1), wherein a first fiber material (FM1) is applied to a first foam body (SK1) to give a first structured fiber surface (FO1) to which a second foam body (SK2) is subsequently applied to give the fiber-foam composite (FSV1).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an acoustic product composed of composite material, such as a musical musical instrument, a part thereof, an acoustic equipment or like, which is manufactured from raw material comprising at least cellulose based substance and plastic based substance by means of a thermoplastic process, such as by pressing, compression molding, injection molding, extrusion, blow molding by heat, rotational molding and/or the like. The acoustic product has a material composition consisting of fiber substance (1) based on surface modified cellulose and plastic based substance (2), wherein the product has an essentially wood-like, but isotropic sound.
Abstract:
An endless conveyor belt loop includes a conveyor belt that has an elongated body and a substantially uniform width. The ends of the conveyor belt each include a splice formation extending across the width of the conveyor belt that are each configured to mate with the other. A thermoplastic connector is thermally engaged between exposed surfaces formed by the splice formation at the ends of the conveyor belt. When the splice formations are aligned, the thermoplastic connector is thermally engaged and continuously interconnected between the ends for conveyor belt to form a seamless end connection. The thermoplastic connector comprises a thermoplastic copolyester elastomer.
