Ein Seil umfasst Kohlenstoff enthaltende Filamente, welche jeweils von einer Schlichte ummantelt sind, wobei die von der Schlichte ummantelten Filamente von einer Matrix umgeben sind, wobei die Matrix aus einem wenigstens ein Elastomer und/oder wenigstens ein thermoplastisches Elastomer enthaltendem Material zusammengesetzt ist. Dieses Seil kann insbesondere zum Ziehen einer Last, beispielsweise in einem Lastaufzug, verwendet werden.

The invention concerns a method which consists in forming subassemblies (6) by assembling pultruded strands (5) consisting of traction resistant fibres embedded in a resin, and coating the assembled strands in a protective plastic jacket (7). Said subassemblies are wound on transport reels (12). On a manufacturing site preferably located on the sea front, the tether (4) is formed by assembling the subassemblies unwound from the transport reels, and by coating the assembled subassemblies in an outer plastic sheath (9). The resulting tethers can then be transported to the platform for anchoring the latter.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a steel cord for rubber articles, capable of adjusting the flatness of the steel cord cross-section over a wide range and sufficiently correcting the straightness of the steel cord and to provide a flattening apparatus for the production. SOLUTION: A flat roller group 24X consisting of three flat rollers 24A is placed at the inlet side P of a steel cord 10 to apply repeated bending to the steel cord 10 and flatten the cross-section of the steel cord 10, and a fluted roller group 24Y consisting of six fluted rollers 24B is placed at the outlet side Q after the flattening stage to correct the straightness of the flattened steel cord 10 and make possible separate adjustment of the biting ratio of the flat roller 24A and the biting ratio of the fluted roller 24B. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code in which the infiltration property of a rubber especially in the reinforcing cord of rubber goods is improved by making the rubber stably coat a wire which composes the code. SOLUTION: When a metal wire is led to an extruder and coextruded with the rubber from the mouthpiece of the extruder, and thereby the metal wire is coated with the rubber, a plurality of metal wires are made parallel in the mouthpiece and coextruded with the rubber. A steel cord for rubber reinforcement comprises a first group of core filaments having a number of m and a second group of sheath filaments having a number of n, m is three or four, the core filaments are forming a helix, the core filaments are not twisted together and being substantially parallel or the core filaments have a twist pitch being more than 300mm; the second group and the first group are twisted around each other, and the sheath filaments are forming a flattened helix in the same direction of the helix of the core filaments, and the sheath filaments have a cord twist pitch, at any cross-section of the steel cord, at least one interstice between two adjacent core filaments is present. The steel cord has improved abrasion resistance and can contribute to the reduction of the weight of the tire.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein kontinuierliches Verfahren zur Herstellung eines faserverstärkten Verbundwerkstoffs aus mehreren in einer Polymermatrix eingebetteten Fasern, insbesondere eines Zugträgers, welches die Schritte umfasst: - Bereitstellen von wenigstens zwei Rovings, - Spreizen der wenigstens zwei Rovings, - Zusammenführen der wenigstens zwei gespreizten Rovings so, dass die wenigstens zwei zusammengeführten Rovings zumindest bereichsweise übereinander und/oder nebeneinander angeordnete Faserschichten ausbilden, - Imprägnieren der wenigstens zwei zusammengeführten Rovings mit einem Polymer und/oder einem Polymervorläufer und - Pultrudieren der wenigstens zwei imprägnierten Rovinge.
