Abstract:
The present invention provides an audio headset (1) comprising a resilient headband (2) adapted to extend partially around and grip a wearer s head, the resilient headband (2) having first and second end portions (4),and first and second earphones (6) attached by pliable members (8) to the first and second end portions (4), respectively, wherein the resilient headband is arranged to conduct an audio signal from an audio signal generator to the earphones. The resilient headband can be worn around the back of the head. The audio headset is particularly suitable for use during sports and may be provided in a waterproof version for use whilst swimming. The audio headset may be used with a removable audio player (110) having an integral USB plug (118). The removable audio player (110) may be adapted to receive digital audio signals and power to recharge an internal battery throughthe USB plug in a first operating mode, and to output analogue audio signals 17 through the USB plug, to the audio headset, in a second operating mode.
Abstract:
A display element (7) is turned off by stopping power supply when an image is displayed on a display section (6). When an image is displayed on the display section (6), the user is mostly observing the image with a head mount display (1) mounted on the user. At such time, since the display element (7) cannot be visually recognized, problem does not occur even when the display element is turned off. Furthermore, since the display element (7) is not required to be supplied with power supply, the service life of a battery is lengthened by such quantity. Abstract:
The present invention relates to a digital audio player with improved user-friendliness through increased compactness and wearability, and more particularly, to a digital audio player wherein its main module alone can be used as a digital audio player and can also be readily operated as a headset-type digital audio player by dividing the main module into two sections and combining the divided sections of the main module with a headset module at both sides of the headset module, respectively. According to the present invention, there is an advantage in that the user can simply select either a stand-alone or headset style for the digital audio player according to the user's preference.
Abstract:
A wearable audio interface includes a support for positioning the plurality of speakers juxtaposed to and spaced from the ears of a wearer. The audio device can include wireless networking electronics so as to allow the device to interact with other wireless network devices.

Abstract:
Wireless-enabled loudspeaker includes a wooden capacitive touch user interface. The loudspeaker may comprise at least one electroacoustic transducer, a processor in communication with the at least one electroacoustic transducer, and a wooden exterior surface comprising a capacitive touch user interface that allows a user to control operation of the loudspeaker. The wooden exterior surface acts a dielectric for the capacitive touch user interface. The loudspeaker may comprise a wireless transceiver circuit for receiving and transmitting wireless communication signals via a wireless network. The wireless transceiver circuit may receive wirelessly audio content from streaming audio content servers that are connected to the Internet. The capacitive touch user interface comprises a plurality of user control icons etched in the wooden exterior surface, and a plurality of capacitive sense electrodes located under the wooden exterior surface.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An audio accessory (1) having headphones (2) with at least one ear-cup (7) and a connection cable (3) for connecting the headphones to an audio device (10) includes a separate connection cable with connection plugs (4B, 5B) at each of its two ends, whereby connections plugs of different types are provided at the respective ends of the connection cable. Separate sockets (4A) of the different types are further provided in the headphones for connection to a respective connection plug at an end of the connection cable. Alternative uses for the audio accessory as well as headphones and a connection cable are also provided.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a band configured to be worn on the head of a user. The band has a central portion and first and second temple portions extending therefrom. The central portion is configured to contact a portion of the face of a user, and the temple portions are configured to contact portions of the head of the user near ears thereof. An operational unit having a display element is affixed to the first temple portion and includes a housing having an arm defining a longitudinal axis. The housing also includes an elbow portion defining a display end that supports the display element such that it extends along a display axis angled with respect to the longitudinal axis and such that the display element is positionable over an eye of the user. Image generating means are disposed within the housing for generating an image presentable on the display element.
Abstract:
A headphone for use with a wireless audio device. The headphone determines whether the origin of an incoming transmission is a cell phone or a device such as a land line device or a computer. The headphone applies a different equalization pattern depending on whether the origin is a land line device or a computer or whether the origin is a cell phone. The headphone may measure the amplitude of the incoming transmission above a first threshold frequency, or below a second threshold frequency, or both to determine if the origin is a land line device or a computer or if the origin is a cell phone.
