Abstract:
An electronic device 410 includes a band 412 configured to be worn on the head of a user. The band has a central portion 430 and first and second temple portions 440 extending therefrom. The central portion is configured to contact a portion of the face of a user, and the temple portions are configured to contact portions of the head of the user near ears thereof. An operational unit 414 having a display 454 is affixed to the first temple portion and includes a housing 452 having an arm 476 defining a longitudinal axis. The housing also includes an elbow 450 portion defining a display end 458 that supports the display element such that it extends along a display axis angled with respect to the longitudinal axis and such that the display element is positionable over an eye of the user. Image generating means are disposed within the housing for generating an image presentable on the display element.

Abstract:
An electronic device (10) including a frame (12) configured to be worn on the head of a user is disclosed. The frame (12) can include a bridge (20) configured to be supported on the nose of the user and a brow portion (30A) coupled to and extending away from the bridge (20) and configured to be positioned over a side of a brow of the user. The frame (12) can further include an arm (42A) coupled to the brow portion (30A) and extending to a free end (44). The first arm (42A) can be positionable over a temple of the user with the free (44) end disposed near an ear of the user. The device (10) can also include a transparent display (54) affixed to the frame (12) adjacent the brow portion (30A) and an input (70) affixed to the frame (12) and configured for receiving from the user an input associated with a function. Information related to the function can be presentable on the display ( 54 ).

Abstract:
A head-wearable device includes a center support extending in generally lateral directions, a first side arm extending from a first end of the center frame support and a second side arm extending from a second end of the center support. The device further includes an extension arm configured to present information to the user via a display element. The extension arm extends at least partially along the first side arm on a first side of the center support and further extends from the first side arm to a display end that supports the display element in a position on a second side of the center support. The extension arm has a joint therein configured for movement of the display element at least in a direction having a lateral component relative to the center support.
