    Abstract: この発明による巻回物包装用端壁は、コアに巻回材料が巻き付けられてなる巻回物の両端部それぞれに配置されて前記巻回物を包装するものであって、プラスチックよりなり、前記コアの端部を支持する支持手段を中央部に有しかつ対をなす端壁どうしを連結する2本の下部ビームの端部が両側部下端に取り付けられる主体部と、前記主体部の下端から下方にのびる脚部とを備えている。前記脚部は、前記2本の下部ビームの下方に荷役車両の昇降可能な積載手段を差し込むための空間を形成し得るような高さを有している。この発明の巻回物包装用端壁によれば、重量が大きい巻回物や、パレットの規格に合わない長さの巻回物であっても、従来技術のようにパレットを使用することなく、フォークリフト等によって直接運搬できるように包装することができる。
