Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror head having a mirror reflective element, a support structure configured for attachment at a side of a vehicle, and an adjustment mechanism operable to move the mirror head relative to the support structure between a retracted position and an extended position. A shutoff module includes a body and a plunger movably disposed at the body. The body is attached at one of the mirror head or the support structure and an outer end of the plunger is attached at the other of the mirror head or the body. As the mirror head moves relative to the support structure, an inner end of the plunger moves relative to and along a circuit element of the body. The adjustment mechanism is deactivated responsive to the inner end of the plunger reaching either end of the circuit element.

Abstract: A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a base portion configured for attachment at a side of a vehicle, and a mirror head having a mirror reflective element and an electrically-operable mirror actuator. The base portion extends through an aperture in the mirror head. The mirror head includes wall structure that circumscribes and spans a perimeter circumferential edge of a glass substrate of the mirror reflective element. The mirror actuator is operable to adjust the mirror head relative to the base portion, and the aperture allows for movement of the mirror head relative to the base portion. The mirror head includes an electrically-operable accessory that moves together and in tandem with the mirror actuator and the mirror reflective element when the mirror actuator is electrically operated. The accessory, when electrically operated, meets a performance requirement throughout a range of adjustment of the mirror head relative to the base portion.

Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a camera disposed at a side of a vehicle so as to view at least sideward and forward of the vehicle including a forward blind zone ahead of the vehicle that is caused by a leading vehicle ahead of the equipped vehicle and in the same traffic lane along which the equipped vehicle is traveling. The camera captures image data. An electronic control unit (ECU) includes electronic circuitry and associated software, with the electronic circuitry including an image processor for processing image data captured by the camera. A display screen is disposed in the equipped vehicle and viewable by a driver of the vehicle. The display screen, responsive to processing by the image processor of image data captured by the camera, displays video images derived from image data captured by the camera to provide displayed images of the forward blind zone ahead of the vehicle.

Abstract: A vehicular overhead console module includes a base portion configured to attach at an interior cabin portion of a vehicle. A light source is accommodated by the base portion and is electrically operable to emit light. A light transmitting panel is disposed at the base portion and includes an electrically dimmable medium. The electrically dimmable medium is adjustable at least between a first light transmission state, where the light transmitting panel has a first level of light transmissivity, and a second light transmission state, where the light transmitting panel has a second level of light transmissivity. The first level of light transmissivity is greater than the second level of light transmissivity. When the electrically dimmable medium is at the first light transmission state, light emitted by the light source passes through the light transmitting panel to illuminate at least a portion of an interior cabin of the vehicle.
