A process for indoor location of a mobile cellular terminal (3) equipped with a transceiver apparatus capable of communicating with a mobile cellular telecommunication network (2), through a system including at least one transmitter apparatus (5a-5g), present inside an indoor environment (6;A-G), and at least one of the mobile terminals (3) equipped with at least one receiver apparatus (4), capable of receiving data transmitted by at least one of the transmitter apparatuses (5a-5g) present inside the indoor environment (6;A-G) and of relaying them to a locating station (7) through the transceiver apparatus over the mobile cellular telecommunication network (2), including the following steps, wherein: at least one of the transmitter apparatuses (5a-5g) present in the indoor environment (6;A-G) transmits at least one identifier (ID; - ) of the indoor environment (6;A-G) where the transmitter apparatus (5a-5g) is situated; the receiver apparatus (4) of the mobile terminal (3) receives the identifier (ID; - ) transmitted by at least one of the transmitter apparatuses (5a-5g); the transceiver apparatus of the mobile terminal (3) relays the identifier (ID; - ) or data associated therewith to the locating station (7) through the mobile cellular telecommunication network (2); and the locating station (7) locates the mobile terminal (3) depending on the identifier (ID; - ) or the data associated therewith received from the mobile terminal (3) through the mobile cellular telecommunication network (2), by associating the identifier (ID; - ) with the position of the indoor environment (6;A-G) after consulting an existing database (9) accessible to the locating station (7), the database (9) including information associating the identifier (ID; - ) with data relating to the position of the indoor environment (6;A-G) where the transmitter (5a-5g) that transmitted it is situated, and wherein the identifier (ID) is associated with at least one fixed communication terminal (8) present inside the indoor environment (6), and wherein the data relating to the position of the indoor environment includes a geographic address (LOCATION) of the fixed communication terminal (8).

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for image segmentation, which comprises a pre-segmentation phase (P1), wherein a set of points of said image is selected, a morphological expansion phase (P3), wherein the set of points selected during the pre-segmentation phase (P1) is expanded by taking into account the spatial distribution of the points of the selected set in the image, a graph generation phase (SP41), wherein a graph (GR) is generated on the basis of the image and the selected set of points, a graph partitioning phase (SP42), wherein a set of nodes of the graph (GR) is selected on the basis of the characteristics of said graph (GR) and the points corresponding to the selected nodes are added to the selected set of points.

A method for broadcasting messages in a cellular mobile communications system with broadcast functionality includes the steps of: selecting a geographic area over which the message broadcasting must be carried out; obtaining information adapted to identify the languages used in mobile terminals referring to the cellular mobile communications system within the geographic area; composing the messages in the set of the identified languages, thus obtaining one or more multilanguage messages; broadcasting the one or more multilanguage messages to said mobile terminals.

A process for transmitting at least one alarm signal from an alarmed apparatus to a PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point, 127), through a system composed of a plurality of cooperating apparatuses (101, 104, 108, 106, 116, 119, 111, 124, 122) includes at least one such alarmed apparatus (101) and at least one responding apparatus, the apparatuses being equipped at least with memory, a processor and a first radio system for direct reception/transmission, from apparatus to apparatus, of signals and data, and the plurality of cooperating apparatus including at least one apparatus (124, 122) equipped with components adapted to transmit the alarm signal to the PSAP (127). A method is described for re-determining, in a television apparatus, a program table including associations between alphanumeric labels and radio-television programs, each one of the alphanumeric labels indicating a string of characters that must be selected by the user in order to activate the reproduction of one of the radio-television programs associated therewith, the method including the steps of biunivocally associating with each radio-television program in the table an alphanumeric label comprising a numeric part; allowing at least a first list and a second list to be simultaneously displayed on a screen, both including identification data of the radio-television programs obtained from the program table, the radio-television programs being sorted in the lists according to sorting criteria; selecting a first program from the first list of programs sorted according to a first sorting criterion, the first program being associated with a first alphanumeric label; selecting a second program from the second list of programs sorted according to a second sorting criterion, the second program being associated with a second alphanumeric label; and modifying the value of the first alphanumeric label of the first program with an alphanumeric label value comprised in the range delimited by the value of the second alphanumeric label, extreme included, and by the value of the alphanumeric label, extreme excluded, which immediately precedes the second alphanumeric label in the second list.

A system for filtering electronic messages includes a client machine that includes a security module, wherein the security module has access to at least one message sent by a sender identified in the message through respective identification data and received by the client machine, wherein the security module is configured for reading the sender's identification data from the header of the message, finding and storing any potentially harmful contents of the body of the message, verifying if said potentially harmful contents satisfy validation conditions which are specific for the sender having the identification data specified in the header of the message, allowing or denying access to at least part of the body of the message, in which the potentially harmful contents are present, based on the result of the verification.

The invention relates to a method, an apparatus and a system for automatically managing and organizing a database of LCNs ( Logical Channel Numbers) related to radio-television programs; the method allows obtaining a hierarchic classification of the plurality of radio-Television programs on at least two levels, based on predefined logic criteria associated with a first rough numeric identification type of each channel and then, with at least one second specific type of the same channel, which may be pre-assigned during transmission or assigned in accordance with optional or manual criteria defined by the user upon reception.
