    Abstract: PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to reduce manufacturing cost and to improve productivity of the product. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a front panel(12) having an outlet(16) formed thereon; a horizontal wind direction control unit(20) and a vertical wind direction control unit(30) installed on the outlet; and a blade supporting part(40) formed integrally with the front panel around the outlet to support the horizontal wind direction control unit and the vertical wind direction control unit to rotate. The horizontal wind direction control unit and the vertical wind direction control unit include a plurality of horizontal blades(21) and vertical blades(31), respectively. The blade supporting part includes an upper side(43), a lower side(44) and both of sides(41,42) formed integrally with each other, and extended from the outlet to the inside to support the horizontal blades and the vertical blades. A plurality of blade joining holes(45,46) are formed on the upper side, the lower side and both of the sides for hinge axes(23,32) of the horizontal blades and the vertical blades to be joined thereto, respectively.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an indoor unit of an air conditioner having an improved air discharge structure. In an aspect of the present invention, provided is the indoor unit of the air conditioner comprising: a panel which forms the appearance and has an opening; a mixed flow fan located inside the panel; a heat exchanger unit located at the rear of the mixed flow fan; an inlet port located at the rear of the heat exchanger unit to draw air from the rear of the heat exchanger unit into the mixed flow fan; an outlet port exposed toward the front of the panel through the opening to discharge the air passing the mixed flow fan through the front side of the panel; and a plurality of circular louvers which move in the outward direction from the center of the outlet port to open and close the outlet port. The indoor unit of the air conditioner has a simplified flow channel of air to increase operation efficiency of the indoor unit and enable miniaturization in size. Moreover, the indoor unit can separately open and close the left side and the right side of the outlet port, provide a beautiful design because an opening and closing unit is located below a disk, and open and close the outlet port with a small number of components.
