Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for transiting antenna beams between sectors in a smart antenna base station system, a recording medium storing a program to realize the same, and an IMT-2000 system using the same are provided to maintain the balance of traffic loads between sectors and reduce unnecessary handoffs by transferring antenna beams between sectors according to a change in radio environments. CONSTITUTION: If a BCP(Base station transceiver Control Processor) requests a channel card to start the sector transition of antenna beams, the channel card responds to the request(S301,S302). If the BCP requests the channel card to adjust the time and power of a primary-CPICH(Common Pilot CHannel) by stages(S303), the channel card issues an internal operation order so as to adjust the power of antenna beams(S304) and induces antenna beams to be transferred between sectors(S305). Afterwards, if the transition of antenna beams to an adjacent sector is completed, the BCP requests the channel card to execute a completion procedure for the sector transition of antenna beams(S306). As the channel card responds for the completed transition, the sector transition of antenna beams is completed(S307).

본 발명은 이동 통신 시스템에서 채널 품질 정보 관리 방법, 상기 채널 품질 정보 전송을 위한 채널 할당 방법 그리고 그 장치에 관한 것이다. 이동 통신 시스템에서 단말기가 기지국으로 호 접속하는 경우, 단말기에 대하여 채널 품질 정보(CQI: Channel Quality Indicator)를 보고하기 위한 CQI 채널 할당을 할당한다. 특히 소정 프레임을 채널 왕복 지연 프레임수로 모듈화하고, 모듈화 값에 해당하는 프레임에서 CQI를 전송하도록 CQI 채널을 할당하여, 가능한 많은 단말기들이 CQI 채널을 할당받아서 사용할 수 있도록 한다. 또한 할당된 CQI 채널들을 통하여 전송되는 CQI 값들을 이동 평균(moving-average) 방법으로 처리하여 저장함으로써, 과거 채널 상태를 반영한 CQI가 저장 및 관리된다. 따라서 단말기와 기지국 사이의 호 단절이 발생하는 것을 방지할 수 있다. PURPOSE: A location information providing method in a wireless communication system is provided to effectively and rapidly supply location information if a terminal is an idle state. CONSTITUTION: A LBS(Location Based Service) control information includes a type of wireless location method which determines a terminal location. If a terminal is an idle state, a determining method of the terminal location is performed by using procedures of paging or raging. A location information request message and a location information response message are messages related to a paging which is used in a paging procedure. The location information request message is a raging response message or a paging advertisement message. A terminal(20) is a location mode that has a location determination mode and information providing mode. The location determination mode is a mode performing final location determination or final location confirmation in a terminal. A base station(10) includes a location determination device(100), and a terminal includes a location information providing device(200).

PURPOSE: A modulating/coding method determining method and an apparatus thereof, and a feedback signal transmitting method of a terminal are provided to minimize the used amount of a feedback channel and rapidly determine a modulating/coding method. CONSTITUTION: A feedback channel includes first and second feedback channels. The feedback channel is used for transmitting a feedback signal to a terminal in an MCS(Modulation and Coding Scheme). The second feedback channel is used for transmitting the feedback signal to the terminal, which decodes multicast data. A feedback channel allocating unit(110) allocates feedback channel to a multicast group.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for performing a handover in a wireless communication system is provided to improve total system performance. CONSTITUTION: A terminal transmits a handover request message to a service base station(S110). The terminal receives a handover indication message, which is a response about the handover request message(S140). The handover request message includes a pre-assigned request indicator indicating whether the terminal pre-assigns a multi carrier in a target base station during handover. The handover indication message includes a pre-assigned response indicator expressing whether the multi carrier is pre-assigned to the terminal.

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for transmitting neighbor base station information performed by a macro base station in a wireless communication system are provided to efficiently transmit information about an adjacent base station for handover when a terminal performs a handover from a macro cell to a femto cell, thereby efficiently transmitting information. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(120) searches adjacent base stations which are handover targets of the terminal. The terminal transmits preamble information about a base station searched by the terminal and a list request message to a macro base station(110). The list request message includes an adjacent base station list request indicator showing a request for information about the adjacent base station. The terminal receives a list response message including identification information for the adjacent base station and system information from the macro base station.

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a paging message in a wireless communication system is provided to efficiently transmit a paging message in a hierarchical cell structure. CONSTITUTION: A second femto base station receives a paging request message, including a temporary ID, from a terminal(S241). The second femto base station stores the temporary ID in a terminal list. The second femto base station transmits a paging response message to the paging request message(S242). The second femto base station checks the temporary ID in the terminal list. The second femto base station transmits a paging message to the terminal(S244).

PURPOSE: A method of offering and receiving a reliable service is provided to rapidly support handover of lower terminals if the wireless interface operation of a femto cell base station is stopped. CONSTITUTION: A terminal#1 and a terminal#2 transmits and receives data to and from a femto base station#1(S210,S215). The terminal#2 transmits data to a macro bas station(S230), and the terminal#1 transmits and receives data to and from the femto base station#2(S235). If backhaul link is received, the femto base station#1 transfers service restoration information to neighbor bas stations(S240). The macro base station determines the handover of the terminal#2(S260), and the terminal#2 receives and transmits data from and to the femto base station#1(S275).
