Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing polyoxymethylene homopolymers or copolymers (7) by homopolymerizing or copolymerizing trioxane, starting from methanol (1) that is oxidized in a first reactor of a first production system (A) such that an aqueous formaldehyde-containing stream (2) is obtained that is fed to a second production system (B) in which pure trioxane (6) is obtained. In said method, low-boiling fractions (5) are separated by distillation, and the pure trioxane (6) is fed to a third production system (C) in which the pure trioxane (6) is homopolymerized or copolymerized to obtain polyoxymethylene homopolymers or copolymers (7). The disclosed method is characterized in that the stream of low-boiling fractions (5) is recycled from the column (K 2) separating low-boiling fractions into the inlet of the first reactor in the first production system (A).

Abstract: Preparing tri-/tetra oxymethylene glycol dimethylether (I) comprises e.g. distilling an aqueous formaldehyde solution and methanol in a reactor to form a reaction mixture containing polyoxy methylene glycol dimethylether (III); distilling the reaction mixture to form a high-boiling fraction (A2) containing e.g. (III); distilling (A2) to form e.g. a low-boiling fraction (A3) having e.g. (I); distilling (A3) to form a high-boiling fraction (A5) having e.g. (I); and distilling (A5) to form an organic phase containing (I). Preparing tri-/tetra oxymethylene glycol dimethylether through the conversion of formaldehyde with methanol and successive distillation of a reaction mixture, comprises: feeding an aqueous formaldehyde solution and methanol in a reactor to form the reaction mixture containing formaldehyde, water, methylene glycol, polyoxymethylene glycol, methanol, hemiformal, methylal and polyoxymethylene glycol dimethylether (III); feeding the reaction mixture into a first distillation column (5) and separating a low-boiling fraction (A1) containing formaldehyde, water, methylene glycol, methanol, methylal and polyoxy methylene glycoldimethylether and a high-boiling fraction (A2) containing formaldehyde, water, methanol, polyoxymethylene glycol, hemiformal and (III); feeding (A2) into a second distillation column (8) and separating a low-boiling fraction (A3) containing formaldehyde, water, methylene glycol, polyoxymethylene glycol, methanol, hemiformal, di-chloroethylene and (I) and a high-boiling containing polyoxymethylene glycol, high-boiling hemiformal and high-boiling polyoxymethylene glycol dimethylether; feeding (A3) and optionally feed-back stream containing formaldehyde, water, methylene glycol and polyoxymethylene glycol into a third distillation column (13) and separating a high volatile fraction (A4) containing formaldehyde, water, methanol, polyoxymethylene glycol, hemiformal and dioxymethylene glycol dimethylether and a high-boiling fraction (A5) containing formaldehyde, water, methylene glycol, polyoxymethylene glycol and (I); feeding (A5) in to a phase separator and separating an aqueous phase containing formaldehyde, water, methylene glycol and polyoxymethyleneglycol and an organic phase containing (I); feeding the organic phase into a fourth distillation column (18) and separating a low-boiling fraction (A6) containing formaldehyde, water, methylene glycol and polyoxymethylene glycol and a high-boiling fraction containing (I); and optionally feeding the aqueous phase in a fifth distillation column (24) and separating a low-boiling fraction (A7) containing formaldehyde, water, methylene glycol and polyoxymethylene glycol and a high-boiling fraction containing water.

Abstract: Método integrado para la preparación de trioxano a partir de formaldehído, que comprende los pasos: a) introducción de un flujo A1 de alimentación que contiene formaldehído y agua y un flujo B3 de retorno que consiste esencialmente de formaldehído y trioxano hacia una unidad de concentración de formaldehído, en donde los flujos se separan en un flujo A2 rico en formaldehído y un flujo A3 que consiste esencialmente de agua; b) introducción de un flujo C1 de producto, que contiene trioxano, agua, y formaldehído, un flujo E1 de retorno que contiene trioxano, agua y formaldehído, y posiblemente flujo A2 hacia una primera columna de destilación de baja presión, en donde los flujos se destilan a una presión de 0.1 a 1.5 atmósferas, con un flujo B1 enriquecido en trioxano que contiene predominantemente trioxano, y también agua y formaldehído, influjo B2 de remoción de fango que consiste esencialmente de formaldehído y agua, y el flujo B2 de retorno que contiene predominantemente agua, y también formaldehído y trioxano removido como un flujo de remoción lateral; c) introducción de un flujo B2 de remoción de fango y posiblemente el flujo A2 hacia un reactor de síntesis de trioxano, en donde los flujos se dejan reaccionar, y en donde el flujo C1 que contiene trioxano, agua y formaldehído se obtiene; d) introducción de un flujo B1 hacia una columna de destilación de presión media, en donde el flujo se destila a una presión de 1.0 a 3.0 atmósferas, en donde una corriente D1 de ebullidor bajo que contiene metanol, metilal, y formato de metilo, y una corriente D2 que contiene predominantemente trioxano y también formaldehído y agua se obtienen, e) introducción de una corriente D2 hacia una columna de destilación de alta presión, en donde la corriente se destila a una presión de 2.5 a 10.0 atmósferas, en donde el flujo E1 de retorno contiene trioxano, agua y formaldehído, y un flujo E2 de producto que consiste esencialmente de trioxano se obtiene; en donde el flujo A2 se puede introducir ya sea hacia la columna de destilación de baja presión o hacia el reactor de síntesis de trioxano 35, o hacia ambos.
