    Abstract: PURPOSE:To safely and smoothly press a cassette at its loading time by controlling the pressure for the cassette according to the moving position of a cassette holding member. CONSTITUTION:The cassette 1 inserted in the direction of an arrow mark A is not pressed against a cassette holder 2 during up to abutting to a presser 5, but according to the insertion in the arrow mark A direction of the cassette 1 further a presser 5 is pushed up in the reverse direction to the arrow mark B direction by the tapered shape of the cassette 1 and the pressing against the cassette 1 is gradually increased. With further insertion of the cassette 1 a constant pressure fitting is obtd. with the contact D of the presser 5 and a guide roller 6 by separating from a stationary guide 7 thereafter. The cassette 1 is thus pressed safely and smoothly at its loading time with a simple structure.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To smoothly fix a cassette to the prescribed position of a cassette holder by using the member rotating integrally with the gear which is engaged with the gear rotating according to the movement of a cassette holder and pressing from the back face the cassette of under moving to a loading completion position. CONSTITUTION:A pressing member 7a is located at the position obstructing no insertion of a cassette in case of inserting the cassette 1. This can be realized by adequately setting the phase that a semi-circular gear 6 and gear 5 are meshed therewith. When a cassette holder starts to move, the gear 5 is rotated in a clockwise direction and the semicircular gear 6 and lever 7 are rotated in a counterclockwise direction accordingly. The cassette 1 is meanwhile going to move to the rear part [arrow mark (b) direction] but the pressing member 7a presses the back face of the cassette 1, so the cassette 1 is surely fixed to the prescribed position inside the cassette holder.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect three positions of a cassette holder just by connecting a cord to a substrate connected to a recording or reproducing device after turning on and off the switches set on the same substrate in response to the rotation of a rotary plate. CONSTITUTION:The projections 61, 62 and 63 which press the contact pieces 51, 52 and 53 of switches SW1, SW2 and SW3 are provided on the surface of a rotary plate 50 which is attached to a side plate as a position detecting mechanism of a cassette holder 10 and rotated in the same way as a rotary plate 28. When a cassette abuts the stoppers 12a and 12b of the holder 10, the shift of the holder 10 is started. Thus the rotation of the plate 50 is started. The SW1 is turned on when the holder 10 is kept at a position where a cassette can be unloaded. The SW2 is turned on when the holder 10 moves in the inserting direction by some strokes from the position where the SW1 is turned on. Then the SW3 is turned on when the holder is set at the position where the cassette loading is completed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize an ejection characteristic and a supply characteristic of a recording liquid and a positioning accuracy of a recording element substrate with respect to a support member when ejection nozzles are arranged in a high density. SOLUTION: An ink jet recording head has a plurality of ejection energy generating elements 4 each for ejecting the recording liquid. The ink jet recording head comprises a recording element substrate 1 which is provided to a face opposite to a face where the elements 4 are provided and has a plurality of recording liquid supply holes 5 for supplying the recording liquid to the elements 4 and a support member 2 for supporting and fixing the recording element substrate 1. A plurality of recording liquid supply passages 2a for supplying the recording liquid to each of the supply holes 5 on the recording element substrate 1 are provided on the support member 2. The width of each the supply passages 2a is narrower than the opening width of the inlet of each of the supply holes 4. A step between the supply passage 2a and the supply hole 5 is filled with an adhesive 10 which extrudes from a bonding face between the recording element substrate 1 and the support member 2.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the ink residual amount in an ink tank by a simple and inexpensive method by providing either of light emitting elements or light receiv ing elements of a plurality of element pairs as common members. SOLUTION: A light beam irradiating from a light emitting element 15 enters a prism 180 formed by molding integrally with the bottom surface 183 of an ink tank. In the case where an ink 103 remains sufficiently, the incident light beam is refracted by the prism surface so as to be absorbed by the ink 103 via the optical path (1)→(2) route, and thus a light receiving element 17 cannot detect the reflected light beam. To the contrary, in the case that the ink residual amount is substantially zero i.e. a liquid level 101, the incident light is totally reflected by the prism surface so that the light receiving element 17 detects the reflected light beam returned by the optical path (1)→(3)→(4) route. Moreover, in the case of (B), a light beam emitted from the light emitting element 15 is totally reflected by the oblique surface of the prism so as to be directed to a light receiving element 16. Therefore, existence or absence of an ink in an ink tank can be detected continuously at a plurality of positions displaced in the paper feeding direction by an optical unit comprising a light emitting element and two light receiving elements.

SOLUTION: A spacer 17 is mounted to a black ink tank mounting position of a photoink-jet cartridge as a gap offsetting member. The spacer 17 comprises two wall surfaces formed integrally, with four hook-like assembly feet 21 provided on the lower surface as engaging nails. Moreover, a hook-like assembly hook 22 for coupling an assembly hole 20 as an engaging hole corresponding to the engaging nails, and the assembly feet 21 of the spacer 17 is provided in the spacer 17 mounting position of an ink tank holder 3. The spacer 17 is inserted, into the ink tank holder 3 from above so that the assembly feet 21 are deflected so as to be fitted into the assembly holes 20. Thereby, the hook-like assembly feet 21 and the assembly hooks 22 are engaged and fixed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart sufficient mechanical strength to a positioning reference surface to prevent deformation, deterioration or damage by constituting the positioning reference surface for mounting and fixing a recording head to a recording apparatus of a surface formed by coating a part of a support member with a recording liquid supply member. SOLUTION: When a recording head is mounted and fixed to a recording apparatus, the respective positioning reference surfaces 6a (main scanning direction), 6b (sub-scanning direction) 6c (recording soln. emitting direction) provided to the recording head are set by accurately fixing those surfaces to respective reference striking surfaces provided to the recording apparatus. Concretely, all of the positioning reference surfaces 6a, 6b, 6c of the recording head are covered with a recording soln. supply member 3 by using a support member 2 as a core material. Therefore, the positioning reference surfaces 6a, 6b, 6c become a composite structure of a metal material and a thermoplastic resin material and are achieved in mechanical strength and the stress deformation and damage caused by the pressing force to the positioning reference surface of the recording head can be prevented.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electrical contact failures at a contact between an input terminal and exterior output terminal by setting pins for positioning an input terminal and exterior output terminal of a wiring integration substrate, and providing a groove around the root of each pin. SOLUTION: The wiring integration board 7 is provided with a plurality of wiring boards 4a, 4b, 4c, and each wiring substrate includes a recording element substrate 1 and a signal input terminal 5 for giving ink discharging or intake electric signals. Also, the wiring integration board 7 has an input terminal 6 for inputting signals from the exterior output terminal and insertion holes 8 for being secured on a support member 3. Pins 9 are set on the support member 3, and a groove 11 is formed around the root of each pin 9 for allowing the escape of flashes caused during assembly. Each hole 8 is set on the pin 9, and the head of the pin 9 is melted down by heat, thereby securing the integration board 7 to the support member 3. Upon setting of the hole on the pin 9, minute flashes generated by grinding the pin 9 are fallen down into the groove, thus putting the integration board 7 and support member 3 into close contact with each other.
