Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support group-based acknowledgment feedback techniques. Two or more different groups of downlink transmissions may each have an associated group-based acknowledgment feedback, and a base station may transmit downlink control information to a UE that indicates one or more parameters that are used to determine which downlink transmissions are to be reported in the group-based feedback. Based on the parameters in the downlink control information, the UE may determine the feedback to be reported, and a timing for when to transmit the feedback to the base station.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink control information (DCI) message that includes a frequency domain resource allocation field to indicate allocated resource blocks (RBs) across multiple transmission configuration indication (TCI) states. The UE may identify, based at least in part on the DCI message and/or a radio resource control configuration, at least one parameter that indicates a unit of contiguous RBs over which the same precoding is used and/or a resource allocation type. The UE may assign the allocated RBs to individual TCI states among the multiple TCI states based at least in part on the unit of contiguous RBs over which the same precoding is used and/or the resource allocation type. Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receiving, from a base station, a synchronization signal block (SSB) of a set of quasi-collocated (QCL) SSBs, the SSB comprising an indication of a parameter indicating information associated with a plurality of downlink control channel locations corresponding to the set of QCL SSBs. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the parameter, the plurality of downlink control channel locations corresponding to the set of QCL SSBs. The UE may receive a downlink grant for a system information based at least in part on monitoring one or more downlink control channel locations of the plurality of downlink control channel locations. The UE may receive the system information based at least in part on the downlink grant. The UE may establish a connection with the base station based at least in part on the SSB and the received system information.

Abstract: Described techniques provide for prioritization of radio bearers and logical channels based on mixed TTI durations or numerologies of the bearers or logical channels. Two or more bearers may be identified for uplink data transmission that carry data to be transmitted using different TTI durations or numerologies. Each bearer may be prioritized based on the associated bearer type, TTI duration or numerology, or combinations thereof. Additionally, one or more logical channels may be associated with one or more bearers, and also prioritized based on the associated bearer type, TTI duration or numerology, or combinations thereof. A buffer status report (BSR) may be generated that has one or more portions associated with the different priorities of bearers or logical channels. Buffer information associated with the higher priority bearers or logical channels may be provided ahead of buffer information associated with lower priority bearers or logical channels.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to reducing transmission latency in unlicensed spectrum including listen-before-talk access. A dedicated ultra low latency (ULL) data bearer having LBT access rules is established, which access rules allow channel access with faster access priority than control and signal traffic. ULL data is mapped to the dedicated ULL data bearer based on the LBT access rules and channel selection is performed in a portion of the unlicensed frequency spectrum using the LBT access rules. These latency reduction techniques include enabling ULL traffic to gain fast channel access. These latency reduction techniques further include updating a size of a contention window for channel access. In addition, these latency reduction techniques include enhancing CPDCCH-based signaling to accommodate the ULL frame structure. Further, these latency reduction techniques include providing robust operation against bursty interference for ULL transmissions. Moreover, these techniques include managing DRX for ULL. Additionally, these latency reduction techniques include joint scheduling of different TTI durations. These latency reduction techniques further include updating SRS transmission opportunities. In addition, these latency reduction techniques include reducing latency associated with PRACH transmissions. Further, these latency reduction techniques include reducing ULL transmission delays by either ignoring or cancelling scheduled uplink (e.g., LTE) transmissions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Data may be received during transmission time intervals (TTIs) that have a short duration relative to other TTIs. The short-duration TTIs may occur within or overlap a longer duration TTI, such as a subframe. Feedback responsive to the data may be generated and assigned for transmission during an uplink TTI according to a feedback timing or delay, which may be selected to reduce latency or balance the payload size of uplink messages sent during the assigned uplink TTI. Data and feedback assignments in short-duration TTIs may be configured based on a time division duplexing (TDD) configuration for some TTIs (e.g., subframes). TTIs that are a Long Term Evolution (LTE) subframe, an LTE slot, and a duration of two LTE symbol periods may be supported. Portions of special TTIs may be used for transmissions according to shorter-duration TTIs.
