Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate troublesome transferring of the liquid of medical waste frequency and provide excellent safety by encapsulating water absorptive resin in a vessel capable of being closed tightly. CONSTITUTION:A water absorptive resin encapsulated in a vessel capable of being closed tightly shall assume powder or granulated powder, or may also assume fiber form. The powder or granulated powder can have a variety of particle sizes, being favorable in view of quick effect exertion if ranging between sub-microns and several tens of microns. Preferable examples of the water absorptive resin include mono-body of polyacrylate series or its cross- linked body, starch/polyacrylate graft copolymer series polymerides, and acrylic acid/vinyl alcohol copolymer series polymerides. Thereby processing works for medical wastes are simplified, wherein the vessel is no more needed to be transferred frequently, and the safety is improved to a great extent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make an electret commodity repeatedly usable by processing a used electret commodity after washing so that the used commodity can be restored to the original electret commodity. CONSTITUTION:Since the material used for making electret commodities is a highly water-repellant material, such as polypropylene, 'Teflon(R)' polycarbonate, etc., and the electret commodities have less wettability against water, the optimum cleaning method of the electret commodities is not water washing, but washing with a washing solution in which a little amount of a nonionic surface active agent is dissolved. The material which is restored to an electret commodity again is led into an electric field in a state where the material is closely fitted to an earth electrode in a flattened state. The reason why the material is flattened is that, when all projecting parts are eliminated from the material and the intensity of the electric field is made uniform in intensity, occurrence of spark discharge can be prevented effectively. The concrete method for restoring the material to an electret material again includes a method by which the material is closely fitted to the earth electrode through a net-like material.
