Abstract:
A skin cleanser includes a surface, such as a silicone surface, with at least one textured portion for transmitting vibrational tapping to the skin. The skin cleanser includes at least one oscillating motor for generating the tapping motion to the skin. The textured portion includes touch-points or a wave that transmit the tapping motion to skin in contact with the textured portions. The touch-points may include thicker and thinner formations of the touch-points to provide firmer or softer vibrations to the skin. The touch-points are within about 0.5 to 2.5 mm in diameter. One configuration includes multiple oscillating motors configured to provide different vibration frequencies at around 50-300 Hertz and operable simultaneously.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A medical device controller (40) for controlling a surgical table having a controllable articulated frame (58) and a controllable surface (60) coupled to the frame is provided. The controller includes a handheld housing (114), a display (116), and a processor (106). The processor is configured to provide indicia on the display indicative of a user command to move the articulated frame to a desired frame configuration and to command the articulated frame to move to the desired frame configuration based on a user input. The processor is further configured to provide indicia on the display indicative of a user command to adjust the controllable surface to a desired surface configuration and to command the surface to adjust to the desired surface configuration based on a user input.
Abstract:
A surgical support apparatus (10) includes a mobile support station (12) configured to receive medical equipment thereon. The mobile support station (12) includes at least one gas outlet (52) and at least one electrical outlet (50) for supplying gas and electricity to an operating room. The apparatus (10) also includes a flexible umbilical line (92) having a first end (94) configured to be coupled to the ceiling (90) of the operating room and a second end (96) coupled to the mobile support station (12). The umbilical line (92) is configured to route medical gases (80) and electrical lines (84) from a gas supply (78) and an electrical power supply (82), respectively, through the ceiling (90) and to the mobile support station (12).
Abstract:
Methods of operating a haptic actuator to apply physical and/or thermal sensations to a user to provide subjective symptom relief to a user are described. In some embodiments, a haptic actuator may be automatically activated when one or more detected user states are compared to one or more predetermined activation parameters to determine the user is experiencing an episode related to a condition of the user. In another embodiment, one or more operating parameters of a haptic actuator may be updated if the haptic actuator did not provided a desired amount of subjective symptom relief to a user during use. In yet another embodiment, a haptic actuator may create an event log based on activation events when the haptic actuator is used to provide symptom relief for a condition of the user.
Abstract:
A ball roller assembly may include an inner sphere that is constructed from a thermal-sensitive material. The ball roller assembly may also include an outer sphere that is constructed from a thermal-conductive material. The inner sphere may be disposed within the outer sphere and thermal transfer may occur between the inner sphere, the outer sphere, and a user of the ball roller assembly. The ball roller assembly may further include a housing constructed from a thermal-insulative material, and the outer sphere and the inner sphere may be disposed within the housing. The inner sphere may be selectively removable from the outer sphere and the outer sphere may be selectively removable from the housing.
Abstract:
Systems and related methods for controlling an ear stimulation device with a personal computing device, in response to determination of electrical contact of an electrode in a stimulator earpiece with an ear of a user of the personal computing device, are described. If the electrode is not in good electrical contact with the ear of the user, delivery of the stimulus is prevented and the user is notified of the status of the electrode. In various aspects, the user is instructed to reposition the earpiece or replace, clean, moisten, or apply gel to at least a portion of the electrode.
Abstract:
Methods to collect use data of a user during customized skin care by using a specimen dispensing device are presented. Methods to utilize the embedded memory and electrical interface of the dispensing device and dispensers to collect use data of said user are also presented. The invention may also be applied to health care and personal care needs.
Abstract:
A mutual sexual stimulation device includes a body including two offset channels originating as two separate orifices, each channel sized to accept male genitalia, wherein the channels are aligned such that, when male genitalia is located within each channel, at least a portion of each of the male genitalia is in contact with the other.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a system for delivery of therapeutic energy. The system includes an energy unit configured to convert the acoustic energy signals transmitted to therapeutic ultrasound directed to fragment tumors and carcinogenic tissue in the body. The system also includes an energy unit configured to convert the acoustic energy signal transmitted from the energy unit to ultrasonic energy to image and monitor the treatment site with ultrasound. The system also includes a control unit including a computer for data storage and display.
