L'invention concerne la préparation de solutions aqueuses de monomères oléfiniquement insaturés destinées à être soumises à une irradiation ultraviolette à l'état de couche mince. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'une solution aqueuse desdits monomères est introduite en haut d'une colonne, qu'un photoinitiateur est introduit dans cette même colonne, qu'un gaz inerte est introduit au bas de cette colonne, que dans la colonne les gaz circulent de manière ascendante et les liquides de manière descendante, que le gaz inerte sort en haut de colonne et la solution de monomère prête pour l'irradiation UV est soutirée en bas de colonne.

An apparatus for continuous dissolution comprising a dissolution portion for dissolving a gas into a main stream liquid, which comprises a flow meter measuring the flow rate of the main stream liquid and outputting a signal of the value obtained by the measurement and a mechanism for controlling the flow rate which controls the amount of supply of the gas based on the input signal; and a process for continuously dissolving a gas into the main stream liquid, wherein the amount of the gas is controlled based on the flow rate of the main stream liquid. Since a solution having a constant concentration can be obtained with stability even when the flow rate of the main stream liquid changes, cleaning water or surface treatment water used for electronic materials which particularly require a precisely clean surface can be supplied without loss.

The invention concerns a process and an apparatus for continuously producing chlorine dioxide, the process comprising the steps of: feeding chlorate ions, acid and hydrogen peroxide as aqueous solutions to a reactor; reducing chlorate ions in the reactor to chlorine dioxide, thereby forming a product stream in the reactor containing chlorine dioxide; feeding motive water (5) to an eductor comprising a nozzle (26); bringing the motive water to flow through the nozzle and causing it to flow further through the eductor in an at least partially spiral or helical manner; transferring the product stream from the reactor to the eductor and mixing it with the motive water and thereby forming a diluted aqueous solution containing chlorine dioxide, and; withdrawing the diluted aqueous solution containing chlorine dioxide from the eductor.

An apparatus (10) for the introduction of oxygen into a liquid (14) comprises a pump (12) for supplying liquid to a mixing device (18) positioned at or near the surface S of the liquid so as to avoid problems associated with hydrostatic head and a PSA device (34) for providing oxygen at an unboosted pressure to the mixing device (18). The mixing device (18) being designed for utilising fluid energy to assist with the mixing of oxygen with the liquid.
