Abstract:
There is specified a slat conveyor (2) made up of uniform links that jointly form the carrier surface (4) of the conveyor, and which are supported by support surfaces (14, 14’) along the sides. The peculiar features of the conveyor (2) according to the invention is that its delivery area (12) may be displaced in parallel laterally in relation to the receiving area (10) by guiding/supporting the belt over two curving lengths (16, 18) between a rectilinear length (19) on a laterally displacing frame (18), where the belt runs on support members (20, 22, 24, 26), the side edges (30, 32, 34, 36) of which facing away from each other having a curved course, where the support members are connected to the fixed receiving area (10) and the delivery area (12), respectively, and on transverse frame segment (27) of the frame (18). Guiding of the belt between the rectilinear lengths at the receiving and delivering areas (10, 12) occurs by curving sections (58, 60, 62, 64) that are in contact with the sides of the belt.

Abstract:
A load gripping conveyor (10) for carrying pieces of meat includes input and output end rotors (20, 22) around which is mounted a carrier belt (16) defining a conveying forward span, and at least one gripper device (38) connected to the belt including a main lever member (40) provided with a hook (46) and being pivotally connected to the belt at a first location (53) about a main pivot axis (46). The gripper device (38) includes a link assembly (50)having a leading end (52) connected to the lever member (40) and a trailing end (54) connected to the belt at a second location (56). The link assembly (50) cooperates with the input rotor (20) upon rotation thereof from a load receiving to a load gripping position wherein the hook (46) moves inwardly through the belt for gripping the load thereon.

Abstract:
A durable reinforcing band for conveyer belts, wherein a reinforcing band (3) is formed by interweaving a number of hard cords (6) facing a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction and longitudinally spaced at predetermined intervals with a number of longitudinally directed warp yarns (7) in such a manner as to prevent longitudinal shift, the reinforcing band (3) being disposed on the upper or lower surface of a core (2) composed of canvas or the like and being then surrounded by rubber (5), thereby forming a belt (1), and wherein the transverse stiffness and shape retainability of the belt can be enhanced by arranging the hard cords in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the belt, and moreover, the hard cords are prevented from shifting longitudinally of the belt; and a conveyer belt, particularly pipe conveyer belt, using the same.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for monitoring a tubular belt conveyor system, comprising the following: a conveyor belt consisting of an elastomeric material, especially with embedded tie rods (9), said conveyor belt being closed to form a tubular belt (2) by overlapping its longitudinal edges so as to form an overlap area (C); other system parts, i.e. a driving drum, a tail pulley, support rollers, guide rollers, supporting structures and optionally, other parts. The inventive device is characterized in that the device for monitoring the overlap area (C) of the tubular belt (2) is provided with an optoelectronic system (12). In the event of a deviation from the desired conveyor belt overlap, said optoelectronic system initiates a correction of position by means of the guiding rollers. If the corrective measures are not taken within a certain period, the tubular belt conveyor system is automatically disconnected.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for controlling and monitoring a conveyor belt (1) which is made of rubber or a rubber-like plastic material and preferably provided with embedded reinforcements (3). By overlapping of the longitudinal edges of the conveyor belt said belt can be closed such that it forms a tubular conveyor belt which is supported on all sides by idler wheels. The device also comprises at least the following components: at least one detectable element (5) which is integrated into the conveyor belt and notably takes the form of several elements which in the longitudinal and/or transverse direction are positioned at distances from each other; and at least one scanning unit (6) with which the precise position of the belt can be determined in a non-contacting manner by detection of the element or elements. The device provided for by the invention is characterized in that the detectable element (5) is an induction loop and/or a transponder, a metal particle or a permanent magnet. The scanning unit (6) is advantageously configured as a system of several detector elements (7) which form a detector chain.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an improvement for conveyors comprising mobile elements sliding on fixed elements such that at least a mobile element consisting of a polyamide mixture (A) slides on a fixed polyacetal element and/or such that at least a mobile polyacetal element slides on a fixed element consisting of a polyamide mixture (A).
Abstract:
A transport chain (10) comprising a plurality of interconnected link assemblies (13, 14) that are pivotal relative to one another (such a conventional roller bush chain) with a transport platform (12) for transporting materials. At least one support clip (21) is provided that is releasably connectable to an outer link plate (14) of each link assembly. The support clip releasably supports an elongate transport platform (18). The platform and support clip permit a conventional chain to convert to a transport chain and/or to facilitate repair.
