Abstract:
A flame resistant composite fabric includes a first flame resistant fabric layer, a second flame resistant fabric layer, and a barrier layer that bonds the first flame resistant fabric layer to the second flame resistant fabric layer. The barrier layer is capable of withstanding temperature of 500° F. for at least 5 minutes without substantial change in the integrity of the flame resistant composite fabric.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The application relates to polymeric antistatic agents for use in polymer molding compositions, as well as molding compositions containing these antistatic agents, the antistatic agents having good compounding properties and being inexpensive to produce, wherein the antistatic agent is an antistatic agent of the general formula (I) having a polymeric cationic polyelectrolyte constituent produced from diallyldialkylammonium compounds and an anionic counterion A−, in which R1 is uniformly or mutually independently C1-C18 alkyl, A− is an acid anion, and n is a whole number from 10 to 1000.
Abstract:
The instant invention pertains to the use of an antistatic composition comprising a polar thermoplastic polymer and an ionic liquid as antistatic additive for non-polar thermo-plastic or elastomeric polymers. Further aspects of the invention are a process for the preparation of an antistatic non-polar thermoplastic or elastomeric polymer which process comprises incorporating therein a mixture of a polar thermoplastic polymer and an ionic liquid and the composition of a polar thermoplastic polymer, an ionic liquid and a non-polar thermoplastic or elastomeric polymer.

Abstract:
A method for controlling dust on a surface with limited corrosion comprising forming admixture of xanthan gum in a halide brine solution in an amount effective to inhibit corrosion; and applying the admixture to a surface in an amount effective for dust control.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an antistatic composition including: a polymer (A) containing a monomer unit represented by the following general formula (1): where R1 represents a hydrocarbon group having a benzene ring, A represents a methyl group or an ethyl group, and a plurality of A's may be the same or different from each other, m and n, each of which is an average polymerization degree of an oxyalkylene group, each represent a numeral of 1 or more, and p represents a numeral of 2 or more; and a low-molecular-weight anionic compound (B).
Abstract:
A liquid composition containing no solvent, which comprises a low molecular weight organic compound having at least one reactive group (with the proviso that an ionic liquid having a polymerizable group is excluded) and/or at least one polymer, and a reactive diluent comprising at least one ionic liquid having a polymerizable group. The above liquid composition is free from the volatilization of an organic solvent, is excellent in safety, can reduce the load to the environment, and also can be used generally.
Abstract:
A substantially transparent antistatic, impact resistant, molding composition and articles made from this composition. The composition includes a miscible mixture of a polycarbonate resin and a cycloaliphatic polyester resin, and an antistatic polymeric material wherein the mixture of the polycarbonate and the cycloaliphatic polyester resin is present in suitable proportions for substantially matching the index of refraction of the antistatic polymeric material, thereby enabling the composition, and any articles made from the composition, to be substantially transparent. The composition may be used in a variety of articles in the electrical and electronic equipment, electronic packaging, and healthcare fields, as well as others.
