PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a laminate structure having superior adhesion.SOLUTION: A method for producing a laminate structure that laminates a first base material, an adhesive layer, and a second base material in the given order contains: (a) a step for applying an aqueous adhesive to the surface of the first base material, and thermally drying the first base material to which the aqueous adhesive has been applied; (b) a step for applying an aqueous adhesive to the surface of the second base material, and thermally drying the second base material to which the aqueous adhesive has been applied; (c) a step for re-applying the aqueous adhesive to at least either the thermally dried surface of the first base material and/or second base material, and thermally drying the obtained base material; (d) and a step for pasting together the surface of the thermally dried first base material to which the aqueous adhesive has been applied and the surface of the thermally dried second base material to which the aqueous adhesive has been applied. At least one instance of thermal drying in steps (a) to (c) is an electromagnetic wave processing.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a sheet capable of providing a label in which problems of a conventional glue label, such as label creases and glue bleeding due to dew condensation, labor required to stick the label, glue remaining on an adherend after peeling-off of the label, and contamination of washing water are solved.SOLUTION: A water-activated sheet (1) has a porous water-absorbing layer (3) made of a paper material, on at least one surface thereof, and the liquid absorbing capacity of the water-absorbing layer is 1 to 10 ml/m. An adhesive layer (4) formed by applying and then drying a water-based adhesive to solidify the adhesive is provided on the water-absorbing layer.

This invention relates to labels. In one embodiment, the labels comprise (A) a polymer film comprising a styrenic polymer, said film having an upper surface and a lower surface, and an MVTR of from about 15 to about 150 g/m2/day, and (B) a water-based adhesive in contact with the lower surface of the film. These labels can be bonded to substrates of glass, plastic or metal using the water based adhesive.

A joint tape to be applied to wallboard is provided and includes a base substrate having opposing sides. In certain embodiments, a first adhesive layer is applied to one of the sides of the base substrate and a second adhesive layer is applied to the first adhesive layer, where the first adhesive layer is different than the second adhesive layer. In certain other embodiments, two different adhesives are used in a single adhesive layer. In use, the joint tape is positioned over and removably secured to a joint or corner between adjacent wallboard panels using the first adhesive layer. After the joint tape is in position, joint compound is applied to the joint tape, and the water in the joint tape activates it to form a secure bond with the wallboard panels.
