Abstract:
Contact of acid or alkaline cleaned aluminum surfaces, particularly cans, with a water based composition containing a combination of (i) alkoxylated phosphate esters, (ii) ions of aluminum, zirconium, iron, tin, and/or cerium, (iii) a metal etching component, and (iv) a combination of alkoxylated alcohol and alkoxylated alkyl phenol emulsifiers, gives the surface after drying lowered surface friction without loss of high quality printability and lacquer adhesion and removes any brown spotting on the cans that may have developed during the cleaning or post-cleaning rinses. The cans after treatment are substantially free from any water breaks when rinsed with water. The foaming resistance and storage stability of the water based composition as described above, and of other similar surface friction reducing treatments for aluminum containers, may be advantageously increased by adding a biocidal agent, preferably hydrogen peroxide, and a combination of liquid paraffin, solid wax, and a high molecular weight fatty acid derivative(s) as antifoam agent.

Date Feb. 8, 1990.The present invention relates to non-combustible lubricating materials. A non-combustible lubricating fluid is proposed, containing polyacrylamide, water, as well as triethanolamine and sodium nitrite, the ratio of the components being as follows, in % by mass: -polyacrylamide 0.3-0.6 -triethanolamine 0.8-1.5 -sodium nitrite 0.1-0.3 -water the balance. -
Abstract:
An ECOLOGICAL, BIODEGRADABLE, FLUID LUBRICANT AND ANTI-FREEZING COMPOSITION FOR HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS , contains glycol, corrosion inhibitors and antifoaming agents, and must be diluted in water, either before or after it is fed into the hydraulic system, including shock absorber, preferably in a concentration of 30% to 70% by volume of the composition and of 30% to 70% by volume of water.
Abstract:
The invention provides a grease composition comprising perfluoropolyether as a base oil and a melamine cyanurate as a thickener in an amount of at least 10 % by mass based on the total mass of the grease composition; and a ball bearing which includes the grease composition. The ball bearing which includes the grease composition has long lifetime even at high temperature.
Abstract:
The aim of the invention is to create a mixture for producing green bodies having high green strength and a high compression density, said mixture also helping to reduce the ejection force from the pressing tool. Said aim is achieved by a mixture comprising a metallic and/or plastic material and a pressing aid which contains 25 to 60 percent by weight of a polyglycol and 40 to 75 percent of a montan wax, the percentages being relative to the total quantity of the pressing aid.
Abstract:
A biodegradable penetrating lubricant, comprised of: (A) at least one triglyceride oil of formula (I), wherein R , R , and R are aliphatic hydrocarbyl groups containing from about 7 to about 23 carbon atoms; (B) an organic solvent selected from the group comprising: (1) ethyl lactate; (2) methyl ester; and (3) combinations of 1 and 2; (C) an antioxidant; and, (D) a corrosion inhibitor. Optionally, the lubricant may further an additive selected from the group comprising: (E) a viscosity modifier; (F) an anti-wear inhibitor; and, (G) an emulsifier.
Abstract:
Alkaline diamine track lubricants for use with glass, aluminum and two-piece PET containers and other articles of manufacture are prepared from an admixture of an alkyl diamine and a water-soluble hydrotrope. The diamine lubricants are prepared without the neutralization thereof and have a corrosion inhibitor which is, preferably, a reducing agent and a biocide incorporated thereinto. A source of alkalinity may be employed, as well, to maintain the pH above 8.
