Abstract:
The invention relates to paving blocks or tiles or to wall tiles, and has for its objective to provide a block or tile shape giving substantial freedom to a designer in providing any one of a considerable number of available patterns employing numbers of blocks or tiles of the same size. This objective is met by a construction comprising a generally rectangular body (2) having two generally parallel sides (3) and two ends each formed by two curved surfaces (4, 5) one end being formed by two equally and oppositely curved convex surfaces (4) that meet on the general centre plane of the block or tile, and the other end being formed by two equally and oppositely curved concave surfaces (5) that meet on the general centre plane of the block or tile (1), all the curved surfaces being of the same curvature.
Abstract:
A drainage system comprises a filter portion and a drainage cell portion. The filter portion is arranged to filter stormwater that in turn flows under gravity to the drainage cell portion. The filter portion is able to receive stormwater runoff from a paved surface.
Abstract:
A rig mat frame has at least two longitudinal frame members and at least two lateral frame members defining a deck insert opening therebetween. Each longitudinal frame member has a C-shaped channel facing the deck insert opening and extending along the length of the longitudinal frame member. At least one C-shaped channel has a longitudinally extending flange with a channel opening providing access into the C-shaped channel. A flange panel is removably fastened to the frame and closes the channel opening when the flange panel is fastened to the frame. A plurality of deck inserts are disposed within the frame and extend across the deck insert opening with the ends of each deck insert disposed in the C-shaped channels. And each of the plurality of deck inserts is removable from the C-shaped channels when the deck insert is positioned in alignment with the channel opening and the flange panel is disconnected from the frame.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A modular plastic floor tile has a body of a first polymer compound and features overmolded onto the body from a second polymer compound. The compounds may be different from each other in hardness and/or color. The features may include raised pads on the upper surface and/or skins on support member cores downwardly depending from the tile lower surface. The pads on the upper surface may be injection-molded from the lower surface through through-holes. Lateral edges of the tile are provided with latches which fit into loops with an interference fit. The loops flex in order to impose a compressive force on mating tile edges. The tile may have an overmolded peripheral seal.
Abstract:
A set of pavers for paving an area. Each paver comprises: a first side surface generally coincident with a first side of an imaginary rectangle; a second side surface generally perpendicular to the first side surface and generally coincident with a second side of the imaginary rectangle; a third side surface opposite and generally parallel to the first side surface and generally coincident with a third side of the imaginary rectangle, the first side surface being shorter than the third side of the imaginary rectangle; a fourth side surface opposite and generally parallel to the second side surface and generally coincident with a fourth side of the imaginary rectangle, the fourth side surface being shorter than the second side of the imaginary rectangle; a female side surface extending from the first side surface to the fourth side surface and delimiting a cutout extending inwardly from a corner of the imaginary rectangle; and a male side surface complementary to the female side surface and extending from the second side surface to the third side surface. The pavers are installable in a pattern in which the male side surface of one of the pavers registers with the female side surface of an adjacent one of the pavers. Other sets of blocks, such as wall blocks for constructing walls, can be designed in a similar manner.
Abstract:
A portable road mat including a body having a first end with a first face and a reciprocal second end with a second face. The first coupling is positioned at the first end and has a coupling portion extending from the first end comprising of two parts consisting of a large female coupling member and a smaller male coupling member for the receiving of like positioned members of the second face on the second end. The female and male couplings of the second end engage the reciprocal members of the first end allowing for vertical displacement but preventing separation.
Abstract:
Abstract:
In substantially liquid-tight floor covering (2) made of concrete stones (4), in particular for service stations, production halls, sites of industrial plants and the like, the joints between concrete stones (4) laid next to each other are closed down to part of their depth with a sealing compound (14). This liquid-tight floor covering (2) is characterized in that (a) the concrete stones are composite stones (4) with projections and recesses (6, 8) at their circumference, so that adjacent concrete stones (4) are interlocked; (b) the projections and recesses (6, 8) are provided only in a lower part of the height of the concrete stones (4); (c) the concrete stones (4) are delimited in an upper part of their height on all sides by a substantially flat surface (10), these delimiting surfaces (10) being recessed with respect to the apexes of the projections (6); and (d) the free spaces (12) located between the delimiting surfaces (10) of adjacent composite stones (4) are filled out at least down to part of their depth with the sealing compound (14).
Abstract:
An interlocking paving stone (10) which has a twelve-sided main section (12) and an eight-sided tail section (14) which are integral with each other, coplanar, and symmetrical about a longitudinal plane (60) perpendicular to the paving stone which bisects it into two equal longitudinally extending sections. The relationship of the lengths of the sides to each other and angles they define are such that a large number of different interlocking patterns are possible which exhibit a high degree of interlock along both opposite edges and both opposite ends of the stones.
