A card like object comprises a card body (3) comprising a first face. The first face is at least partially graphically personalized. An antenna (2) is embedded in the card body (3). The card body (3) is provided with a cavity. The cavity comprises a contact chip (6). The cavity further comprises a contactless chip (7), the contactless chip (7) being electrically connected to the antenna (2) with connecting means (9).
Abstract:
The identification instrument (11) comprises:
at least one flexible sheet (13), said one flexible sheet including at least two layers (14, 15), an embedded module (16) positioned between the at least two layers (14, 15), said module comprising:
a flexible support layer (17); an antenna (18) etched on said flexible support layer (17); and an electronic radio frequency (RF) component (20) to store identification data, said RF component (20) connected to said antenna (18) and fixed on the flexible support layer (17).
A method for making such an instrument is also disclosed.
Abstract:
Card of the dual type interface type comprises a card body (1) having a front side (2) and a back side (3), at least one electronic element (4) embedded in the card body, contact area (5) connected to electronic element through connector pads (6). The contact area is even with card body front side. The connector pads are embedded in the card body. The card body back side comprises at least one hole (7) for connecting an antenna to the electronic element.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a method for allowing a portable object to work in different interface configurations, the portable object being provided with at least storage means and connectors able to connect said portable object with at least an object accepting device. Assigning different interface functions and/or different connection characteristics for a determined connection to at least one of said connectors is done by multiplexing means depending on the type of portable object accepting device(s) with which the portable object is connected.
Abstract:
This invention concerns an iterative procedure for conversion of structured software objects into a raw data stream and vice versa, providing for their direct transfer using simple communication resources such as those of an embedded computer station, and reset of said software objects or reutilisation of memory space allocated to them. This procedure can be used by an embedded platform (2) or a portable object including at least a processor capable of exchanging information with a terminal in the form of linear data sequences. The procedure includes a step for conversion of a data set, in one direction or the other, between a linear data sequence arrangement on the one hand, and a structured arrangement describing or representing an object-oriented software object on the other hand.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for making a reliable time available on a smart card provided with a timer, comprising the steps of :
sending to the card a reference time issued from a reliable time source ; initializing said timer in the card with said reference time received ; and executing at least one operation based on the time delivered by the timer.
The invention is particularly used for synchronizing secure databases, performing banking funds transfers, and playing LOTO.
Abstract:
This invention proposes a method to obtain the cost of transmitting a set of data from a transmitting means (3, 16) to a receiving means (2) via a network (4), wherein the receiving means (2) determines the volume of said set of data received and communicates it to a billing unit (18) so that the latter can evaluate the cost of said transmission using this information and possibly other information in its possession. This invention also concerns the systems used to implement said method especially in cellular packet radio-communication networks.
Abstract:
A slice of semiconductor comprises an active face and an inactive face. At least one passivation layer is deposited on the active face. The inactive face is provided with an organic layer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for a service provider server (SP) to delegate the authentication of an authentication token (ICC) to an identity provider server (IP). The authentication token (ICC) is attached to a personal computer (PC). The service provider server (SP), the identity provider server (IP), and the personal computer (PC) are connected together through a network. The delegation of authentication comprises the following steps: • the identity provider server (IP) authenticates the authentication token (ICC), • the identity provider server (IP) generates an artifact (A), • the identity provider server (IP) sends the artifact (A) to the authentication token (ICC), • the authentication token (ICC) sends the artifact (A) to the service provider server (SP), • the artifact (A) received by the service provider server (SP) from the authentication token (ICC) is compared with the artifact (A) generated by the identity provider server (IP). The invention also relate to a system implementing an authentication delegation method.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for accessing a server, the server being accessible from a host device (11), the host device implementing a network communication stack, a portable device (12) being connected to the host device. According to the invention, the network communication stack is modified for at least one name resolution for at least one network server address, so that the name resolution allows to point to the portable device, as the server, the host device being able to exchange network data with the portable device, without the use of any dedicated port to access the portable device. The invention relates also to a corresponding electronic portable device (12) for accessing a server (12) and a corresponding system for accessing a server including a portable device and a host device cooperating with said portable device.
