Abstract: PURPOSE: A codec mode control method of an integrated internet protocol network and a terminal thereof are provided to improve wireless channel quality, packet transmission quality, and multimedia service quality. CONSTITUTION: A variable codec control unit(200) includes a channel measurement management unit(220) and a QoS control unit(240). The channel measurement management unit measures the state of a wireless channel and transmission characteristics of a received packet. The QoS control unit measures multimedia QoS on the basis of wireless channel state information and packet transmission characteristics information received from the channel measurement management unit. The QoS control unit determines the codec mode of an owned or opponent terminal according to the measured QoS.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving a frame in wireless LAN is provided to reduce transmission delay of a voice frame by selectively performing frame coupling depending on the existence of transmission-waiting voice frame. CONSTITUTION: When IFS begins, CR FAD(Collision Resolution and Frame Aggregation Decision) confirms a transmission-waiting frame in all AC(Access Category) queues(310,320). In case the transmission waiting time of a voice frame is greater than that of other AC frames, frame coupling is executed(340,350). The voice frame is preferentially transmitted(360). After completion of the frame coupling, MAC(Medium Access Control) checks a channel condition(370). MAC transmits a frame if the frame transmission is possible(380).

Abstract: PURPOSE: An encoder and a decoder for improving the sound quality in a G.711 codec are provided to reduce the error of quantization by encoding additional mantissa information based on a method has a smaller error of quantization between a static bit allocating method and a dynamic bit allocating method. CONSTITUTION: A G.711 encoding unit(110) encodes input sound signal based on a G.711 codec and outputs a G.711 bit stream. The enhancement class encoding unit outputs an enhancement class bit stream including additional mantissa information which is encoded based on the selected bit allocating method. A multiplexer(120) multiplexes the G.711 bit stream and the enhancement class bit stream.

Abstract: A system and a method for providing a customized AD(ADvertisement) service system based on an open interface are provided to offer an efficient AD service by combining AD contents customized to each location/user characteristic and main contents with the open interface capable of receiving various CPs(Content Provider). A contents information obtainer(208) obtains information of main contents by requesting the information of the main contents to an open service gateway(105) in response to a contents request of a user terminal(101). A personal profile manager(209) stores and provides personal profile information. A personal EPG(Electronic Program Guide) provider(210) generates and transmits personal EPG information to the user terminal by using the main contents information based on the personal profile information. An AD requestor(211) transmits an AD contents request corresponding to a contents requestor to the open service gateway based on the personal profile information. The open service gateway includes an open API(Application Program Interface) provider(212) enabling the customized AD contents to be streamed on a scheduled AD insertion time by requesting streaming to the AD contents server.

Abstract: 미디어 게이트웨이에서의 내부 채널 관리 방법 및 그 미디어 게이트웨이가 개시된다. 주 제어 프로세서는 호(call) 설정 요청에 대응하여 적어도 하나 이상의 DSP 중에서 하나를 선택하고 선택된 DSP의 TDM 채널을 선택한 후 선택된 DSP 내부에서 호를 구분하기 위한 세션번호를 선택된 DSP에게 할당하며, 소정의 가용채널 중 IDLE 상태인 채널을 RTP 채널로 할당한다. DSP부는 적어도 하나 이상의 TDM 채널을 포함하는 다수의 DSP 중 소정의 DSP의 TDM 채널이 주 제어 프로세서에 의해 선택되면 TDM 채널에 대한 세션번호를 주 제어 프로세서로부터 할당받고 저장한다. T-Switch는 다수의 TDM 채널을 다수의 외부 E1 Link와 동적으로 연결한다. 이로써, 미디어게이트웨이 내부 DSP 들은 시스템 레벨의 채널 정보를 저장하지 않고도 DSP 자체에 필요한 채널 정보만으로 동작 가능하다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for processing a translation of a portable global title for a movable number is provided to control a returning of a message and default global title translation(GTT), which is processed in a signaling-connection-control part (SCCP), by a number portability(NP) of GTT, by mandating the SCCP-GTT for controlling a routing of a message related a non-linear, on the NP-GTT, and to perform the portable number GTT requested additionally, caused by supplying the NP. CONSTITUTION: A method for processing translation of a portable global title for a movable number contains processes. The first process is to change a state to a corresponded signal point code(SPC) of a signaling transfer point(STP) table, if receiving information changed a state of a remote number portability-global title translation(NP-GTT) sub system. The second process is to deliver a N-STATE req primitive to a signaling-connection-control part(SCCP), for informing of a related remote sub system, if changing a local NP-GTT domestic use state, caused by a non-domestic use of a GTT database of the system, to store all information included an original subsystem number(SSN) if receiving a N-UNITDATA primitive, to perform searching and selecting a portable number table with a total digit of a given called global title, and to decide whether the searched global title(GT) is existed in the table. The third process is to decide a class of a translated SPC-type, if the global title is existed in the table, to determine a calling party address and a called party address, to compose a related parameter, and to deliver the composed parameter to the SCCP. The fourth process is to decide whether the global title is existed in a non-portable number table, after searching the table, if the global title is not existed in the portable number table. The fifth process is to perform the second process again if the global title is existed, to determine a CdPA and CgPA respectively if not, to compose a related parameter, and to deliver the composed parameter to the SCCP.
