    Abstract: PURPOSE: A lock bar of a clock spring for a car is provided to stabilize operation of an air bag by automatically restricting and releasing a lock bar for restricting and releasing operation of the clock spring. CONSTITUTION: A lock bar of a clock spring for a car includes a bar type supporting part(61) and a gear part(62). The lock bar is mounted on an outer circumference of an upper surface of a fixing body(10) and geared with a rotating gear part(40). A torsion spring(70) is elastically mounted on the supporting part of the lock bar. When the clock spring is assembled, a lower cover of a steering wheel assembly automatically presses the supporting part of the lock bar, so that the clock spring is released from the rotating gear part to rotate freely.
