    Abstract: Disclosed herein is the use of fipronil for increasing the crop yield of wheat which is growing in soil which is supplied with less than 70%, particularly less than 50%, of standard nitrogen fertilization, relative to the total need for nitrogen of the specific crop, where the crop yield is increased in the presence or absence of insect pest pressure.
