The invention relates to the use of insecticides, selected from GABA antagonists and nicotine receptor agonists/antagonists, optionally in combination with at least one gibberellin, as safeners for fungicides which have a phytotoxic action. The invention further relates to a method for reducing or preventing the phytotoxic action of fungicides on treated plants, or on plants the seeds of which or the growth medium of which has been or is treated with said fungicides. The invention further relates to agents, comprising at least one GABA antagonist, at least one azole fungicide, or strobiliurin fungicide and optionally at least one gibberellin and agents containing at least one nicotine receptor agonist/antagonist, at least one azole fungicide or strobilurin fungicide and optionally at lest one gibberellin.

A method for the synergistic plant nematode control in sugar cane with a mixture of fipronil and abamectin comprising fipronil and abamectin in a ratio by weight of from 1:10 to 10:1, wherein the mixure is applied to sugar cane in furrow, a method for the synergistic plant nematode control in sugar cane with a mixture of fipronil and abamectin comprising fipronil and abamectin in a ratio by weight of from 1:10 to 10:1, wherein the mixture is applied to plant propagation materials of sugar cane, and a method which combines synergistic plant nematode control with (preferably synergistic) improvement of the plant health of sugar cane plants.

Uso de insecticidas que están seleccionados de antagonistas de GABA y agonistas / antagonistas de receptores de nicotina, eventualmente en combinación con al menos una giberelina, como safener para fungicidas, que ejercen una acción fitotóxica. Además, un procedimiento para reducir o impedir la acción fitotóxica de fungicidas sobre las plantas tratadas con ellos o sobre plantas cuyas semillas o medio de crecimiento fueron o son tratados con estos fungicidas. Finalmente, también agentes que contienen al menos un antagonista de GABA, al menos un fungicida de azol o un fungicida de estrobilurina y eventualmente al menos una giberelina, así como agentes que al menos contienen un agonista / antagonista de receptores de nicotina, al menos un fungicida de azol o un fungicida de estrobilurina y eventualmente al menos una giberelin.
