Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to resource allocation in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) system. A central unit (CU) transmits over a backhaul link a message to a distributed unit (DU) including a resource configuration for a DU cell and a child cell corresponding to a child node served by the DU cell. The DU determines that the message misidentifies the child cell using an ID of a different cell. In response to that determination, the DU communicates with the child node based on the resource configuration specific to the misidentified child cell. Using this coordinated technique enables the CU to provide the DU with a child-node specific resource configuration to enable the DU to use this configuration for communicating with the child node. This maximizes efficiency in multi-node communications between one or more child nodes and cells while adding minimal, if any, signaling overhead.

Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus of a network node are provided. The network node may receive, from a second network node, a routing configuration that maps a packet to a routing identifier (ID) based on a first header in the packet. The network node may receive a packet from a pre-hop node, the packet including the first header with a first address and a second header with a second address. The network node may determine that the second address matches an address of the first network node and that the first address mismatches an Internet protocol (IP) address of the first network node. The network node may replace, based on the received routing configuration and based on the address match and address mismatch determination, the second header with a third header, the third header including the routing ID.

The wireless node may communicate, with a child node or another wireless node, a message using a modified first periodic resource, wherein the modified first periodic resource includes a modified resource allocation associated with the first periodic resource or a modified resource type associated with first periodic resource. Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure may provide an apparatus, which may include a first node that may receive an indication of a one-hop radio link control (RLC) channel packet delay budget (PDB) for an RLC channel between the first node and a second node. The PDB is across a full protocol stack or a partial protocol stack. The first node may then schedule communications with the second node based on the one-hop RLC channel PDB. In some cases, an IAB node may report a capability of its stack processing time to an IAB donor node and/or a parent IAB node (directly or indirectly).

Abstract: A first control node may communicate with a user equipment (UE) using an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network, and a second control node may manage a configuration of the IAB network. The second control node may not have the information needed to configure the IAB network, such as quality of service (QoS) information associated with a data radio bearer (DRB) used for communications between the first control node and the UE, and thus may not be able to configure a user plane interface tunnel and/or a radio link control (RLC) channel to assist with satisfying the QoS level. Some techniques and apparatuses described herein enable the second control node to receive QoS information associated with setting up a user plane interface tunnel between the first control node and an IAB node that serves a UE for which the user plane interface tunnel is being set up.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support delaying the application of reconfiguration messages. An integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node transmit or receive, along a first signaling path, a reconfiguration message indicating the first IAB node to postpone applying a reconfiguration message until a second signaling path becomes available. The first IAB node may send a reconfiguration complete message to a first IAB donor node along the first path and wait to perform a procedure with the first IAB donor node. When the second path becomes available, the first IAB node and the second IAB node may then perform the procedure. In some cases, delaying the reconfiguration may involve postponing the forwarding of messages received at the first IAB node.
