Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first wireless node may receive a first indication of an energy-saving configuration for traffic routing associated with a traffic path between the first wireless node and a second wireless node. The first wireless node may transmit a second indication of the energy-saving configuration for traffic routing to the second wireless node. The first wireless node may communicate, with the second wireless node on the traffic path, in accordance with the energy-saving configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: A first base station may establish a first connection with an IAB node and transmit, to a second base station, a request for the second base station to establish a second connection with the IAB node. The first base station may indicate to the second base station, based on the second connection being established with the IAB node, that at least one of a first base station or the second base station is to serve as an IAB donor for the IAB node. The second base station may acceptor reject the indication received from the first base station that the at least one of the first base station or the second base station is to serve as the IAB donor for the IAB node.

Abstract: A second network node determines a backhaul adaptation protocol (BAP) configuration associated with a backhaul traffic transport and including a topology identifier corresponding to a topology of a plurality of topologies for which traffic associated with the topology is transported based on the BAP configuration. The second network node sends, to a first network node, the BAP configuration associated with the backhaul traffic transport. The first network node receives a first BAP configuration associated with a first topology identifier (ID) corresponding to a first topology, and a second BAP configuration associated with a second topology ID corresponding to a second topology that overlaps at least in part with the first topology. The first network node determines with which traffic is associated routes traffic associated with the first topology ID based on the first BAP configuration, and traffic associated with the second topology ID based on the second BAP configuration.

Abstract: Present disclosure provides techniques for migrating integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes from the source centralized unit (CU) to a target IAB-donor-CU of a base station. Features of the present disclosure achieve such migration by configuring the IAB distributed unit (IAB-DU) to establish F1-connection (F1-C) with the target IAB-donor-CU via the source path before the user equipment (UE) context transfer occurs. To this end, the source IAB-donor-CU may initiate an F1-C establishment between IAB-node DU and target IAB-donor-CU. The source IAB-donor-CU may do so by acting or presenting as an IAB-node-DU proxy to the target IAB-donor-CU. At the same time, the source IAB-donor-CU may act or present as a target-IAB-donor-CU proxy to the IAB-node-DU.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for performing a common channel sensing procedure for transmissions via a mobile termination (MT) role or via a distributed unit (DU) role of an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node, or both. In one aspect, the IAB node may obtain channel access for transmissions via the MT role or the DU role, or both, using the same channel sensing procedure. The IAB node may select a timing of a sensing slot for the common channel sensing procedure in accordance with a capability of the IAB node and a timing of the transmissions. The IAB node may initiate a channel occupancy time (COT) for the transmissions via the MT role or the DU role, or both, as a result of determining that a measured energy detection (ED) value satisfies an ED threshold.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A child node may communicate in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) communications system with a parent node and the parent node may transmit system information to the child node that may indicate one or more random access channel (RACH) procedure configurations such as a user equipment (UE)-specific RACH procedure configuration and a wireless backhaul-specific (e.g., IAB-specific) RACH procedure configuration. The child node may be configured to utilize the UE-specific RACH procedure configuration or the IAB-specific RACH procedure configuration such as if the child node meets one or more conditions or upon receiving an indication from the parent node. The child node may determine to use the UE-specific RACH procedure configuration for communicating with the parent node and may perform a RACH procedure with the parent node in accordance with the UE-specific RACH procedure configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described a first donor node may serve a relay node, which in turn may serve a child node. The first donor node may determine to transfer (e.g., via a handover procedure) the relay node to a second donor node. The first donor node may transmit a first context transfer request for the relay node to the second donor node, and may transmit a second context transfer request for the child node of the relay node to the second donor node. The first donor node may indicate a correlation between the two context transfers. The second donor node may identify the correlated context transfers, and may successfully perform a migration procedure for the relay node and any descendent devices or nodes based on the correlated context transfers.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable an IAB node to modify a resource allocation or change one or more parameters related to the resource allocation when the IAB node detects that the resource allocation overlaps with guard symbols or another resource allocation. In one aspect, an IAB node determines that a first channel allocation will be punctured based on an overlap of the first channel allocation with at least one of a guard symbol or a second channel allocation. The IAB node uses, for the first channel allocation or the second channel allocation, one or more of a modified parameter or a modified grant in response to determining that the first channel allocation will be punctured.
