    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and efficiently producing a fluorine- containing carbonyl compound, having high general-purpose properties. SOLUTION: This method for producing a fluorine-containing carbonyl compound represented by the formula F-CR R -(CR2 )n -CR2 -C(=O)-R comprises reacting an organotin compound represented by the formula R SnR 3 (R is an alkenyl-group, an alkynyl group or an aromatic group; R is a lower alkyl group) with a halide represented by the formula F-CR R -(CR2 )n -CR2 -X [X represents bromine atom or iodine atom; each R is hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group or an aromatic group; R and R are each hydrogen atom, chlorine atom, an alky group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group or an aromatic group; (n) is 1 or 2] in the presence of a transition metal catalyst and carbon monoxide.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing hexahydrophthalimidine useful as a raw material for antidiabetic drugs, etc. in high selectivity and yield by catalytic hydrogenation of phthalimide under mild conditions. SOLUTION: The objective hexahydrophthalimidine is obtained by reducing phthalimide through hydrogenation in the presence of a ctatalyst composed of at least one element selected from group VIII elements and at least one element selected from group VI b or group VII b elements.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compounds useful as a synthetic raw material, etc., for solvents of organic electrically conductive solutions or pyrrolidones in high yield and selectivity by carrying out hydrogenating reaction of a saturated dicarboxylic acid, etc., in the presence of a group VIII noble metal supported on a carrier as a catalyst in the coexistence of an alkali type zeolite as a catalyst. CONSTITUTION:Saturated and/or unsaturated dicarboxylic acids (e.g. succinic acid or maleic acid) are subjected to hydrogenating reaction in the presence of a group VIII noble metal [e.g. ammonium hexachloropalladate supported in an amount of preferably 0.5-10wt.%@[ supported on a carrier such as silica as a catalyst in an amount of preferably 1-150wt.% (based on the raw material) in the coexistence of preferably 1-50wt.% alkali type zeolite such as phillipsite to afford the objective compounds.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make a catalyst as an economical industrial catalyst and manufacture allylsilanes industrially at high selectivity by using a complex compound with a specified composition as a catalyst for hydrosilylation of dienes. CONSTITUTION:A complex expressed as A [M2H(CO)10] (A stands for alkali metal cation, ammonium cation, etc., M stands for chromium atom, molybdenum atom, etc.) is used as a catalyst for hydrosilylation reaction of dienes, especially for manufacture of allylsilane from dienes. This catalyst is an economical industrial catalyst since no expensive group VIII metal complex is used. Moreover, with the catalyst, allylsilane is manufactured industrially at high selectivity.
