Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with conventional disk recording and/or reproduction apparatuses, such as notebook personal computers and the like where a space (particularly, an area) occupied by a disk drive device is larger than those of the other parts provided therein, so that it is difficult to reduce the size of a notebook personal computer or the like. SOLUTION: A disk recording and/or reproduction apparatus has a turntable 18 onto which an optical disk 20 is detachably attached, a disk drive device 10 that can record and/or reproduce an information signal to/from the optical disk 20 rotated and driven by the turntable 18 while the optical disk 20 is attached to the turntable 18, and a housing 2 having a drive accommodating unit 12 in which the disk drive device is accommodated in a manner that allows the disk drive device to move. The disk drive device 10 is moved in a direction in which the disk drive device 10 protrudes from the disk accommodating unit 12 during usage, so that recording and/or reproduction is performed with respect to the optical disk while at least a portion of the optical disk 20 attached to the turntable 18 protrudes from the drive accommodating unit. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive device allowing flattening of the whole device for occasions to carry it. SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with: the disk drive device having an upper casing 3 provided with an input operation part and formed in a flat rectangular parallelepiped, an lower casing 2 attitude-changeably supporting the upper casing, formed in a flat rectangular parallelepiped allowing overlap, and a turntable 41 stored in the upper casing or the lower casing, and detachably installed with an optical disk 30, and allowing recording and/or reproduction of an information signal to the optical disk installed to the turntable and rotationally driven; and a cam member 70 setting a disk storage area to a first thickness wherein the upper casing 3 is estranged from the lower casing 2 in using of the disk drive device, bringing the upper casing 3 close to the lower casing 2 such that the disk storage area is contracted when disuse of the disk drive device, and setting the disk storage area to a second thickness smaller than the first thickness. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk driver which has highly reliable by avoiding collision with an objective lens of a pickup mechanism and other components even when a disk is inserted obliquely from a slot, and to provide an electronic apparatus having the disk driver. SOLUTION: A projecting plane 150a is formed integrally from a cover plate 150 on the cover plate 150 covering the top surface of a pickup unit 22 in the disk driver at an end part of a slot side where a disk is inserted and ejected. Further, a sheet member 151, for example, artificial leather or the like is pasted onto the projecting plane 150a. Since the providing of the projecting plane 150a makes the projecting plane 150a control an insertion angle even though the disk is inserted inclinedly to smoothly guide the disk in the direction of a disk mounting part 23, the disk is prevented from colliding with the objective lens 25a of the pickup mechanism 25 to make flaws on the disk and the objective lens. SOLUTION: A first rotation arm 35 and a second rotation arm 36 are arranged at both sides acrossing a turntable 23a between them, a base end part positioned at the back side more than the turntable 23a is held rotatably, while a tip part positioned at the front plane side more than the turntable 23a can be swung in the approaching or separating direction in a plane being parallel to the main plane of the disk 2 inserted from the disk insertion opening 19, when disks 2A, 2B having different outer diameters are held inside a plurality of abutting members 38, 39, 40, 50 provided at these rotation arms 35, 36, a center hole 2a of each disk 2A, 2B and an engaging projection part 28a of the turntable 23a are made coincident. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise a flying property by enhancing a CFH property, skew dependency, and line rate dependency while enhancing dust resistance. SOLUTION: A flying head slider 1 is equipped with a leading pad 2a for assuring the stiffness in a pitch direction as a positive pressure occurrence face 2; two sets of side pads 2b and 2c for assuring the stiffness in a roll direction and disposed at a backward and right and left sides of the leading pad 2a; and a center pad 2d for controlling the surfacing property and disposed between these side pads 2b and 2c. Ingress of dust to an interface of the flying head slider and a disk is prevented by extending a step 3 one step lower than the positive pressure occurrence face 2 to forward and lateral edges at an air stream inflow side in the flying head slider 1 and stable flying property is acquired. SOLUTION: The removable disk cartridge is formed to the flat box shape by an upper shell 22 and a lower shell 23, and it is constituted in such a manner that a long sideways head inserting hole is arranged at one side of a cartridge main body 24 whose front end part is formed nearly circular-arc shape and circular disk table inserting hole is arranged at almost center parts of the upper shell 22 and the lower shell, then the diameter D of the disk is set to nearly 50 mm or smaller, and further the maximum horizontal width W1 and maximum depth D2 of the cartridge main body 24 are set to nearly 53 mm or shorter and nearly 56 mm or shorter respectively.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive the reduction of the maximum width of a coil supporting part of a bending type head actuator and the prevention of damage of the outer surface of a movable coil in an assembling operation etc. SOLUTION: This rotation type head actuator is constituted in such a manner that the inside of an inner opening part 15a of the movable coil 15 is supported at the outside of an inner supporting part 42 of the coil which is disposed on the side face of a head arm 11, the maximum width of a coil supporting part 41 is extremely reduced and the outer periphery of the movable coil is covered by outside resin layers 46, 56 or a detachable cover member.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a head suspension for a disk device, a suspension capable of preventing breaking of a gimbal by impact, failure of a disk by head slapping, and destruction of sliders by mutual sticking or collision. SOLUTION: A suspension 11 is provided with a limiter 17 for limiting the operating range of a load beam 14 which is formed by extending a part of a base 12 for attaching the suspension. As a result, displacement of a load beam is limited by the head suspension for a disk device; hence, a gimbal is prevented from coming into contact with the disk cartridge, even if a strong inertia force is imparted to the suspension by impact or the like, so that the gimbal is protected from destruction.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high dust-proof performance during the recording and/or reproducing of a disk recording medium rotatably housed in a disk cartridge. SOLUTION: This disk driving device to record and/or reproduce a disk recording medium rotatably housed in a disk cartridge 2 is provided with a housing having a cartridge housing space 1a for inserting the disk cartridge 2, a rotary-driving means for holding the disk recording medium housed in the disk cartridge 2 inserted into the cartridge housing space 1a and rotary- driving the disk recording medium, a shielding means for forming a shielding space by covering the periphery of the rotary-driving means for holding the disk recording medium, and a filter 33 for removing dusts in the cartridge housing space 1a. The shielding off space and the cartridge housing space 1a are communicate with each other through the filter 33.
