Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a system for treatment of thrombosis. The system includes a garment configured to secure to a portion of a body of the user and a plurality of energy units, coupled to the garment, that provide energy inside the body of the user to prevent or break-up at least one of thrombin or a clot formation and increase vascular flow.

The present disclosure provides a system for treatment of Deep Vein Thrombosis. The system includes an appliance configured to secure to a portion of a body of a user and a plurality of energy units, coupled to the appliance, that provide energy inside the body of the user to at least one of break-up thrombin or a clot formation and increase vascular flow.
Abstract:
A compression device for providing compression treatment to a limb of a wearer includes a compression garment positionable on the limb of the wearer. The garment includes an inflatable bladder for providing compression treatment to the limb. A controller is adapted for fluidly connecting to the inflatable bladder and configured for inflating and deflating the bladder during a compression cycle. The controller has an exhaust port positioned to direct exhaust fluid through the bladder so exhaust fluid flows over the limb of the wearer to cool the limb.
Abstract:
A method to form a compression garment apparatus for a body part of a human and/or animal. The method includes forming a segmented flex frame and installing a shape memory alloy on struts of the segmented flex frame. The method further includes connecting the shape memory alloy to first and second terminals on the frame creating a mechanical and electrical connection. The method includes installing a controller that applies current to the shape memory alloy at intervals using and executing intermittent, sequenced, or continuous compression therapy using the controller by creating at least one heating phase causing the shape memory alloy to reach a target transition temperature to either lengthen or shorten and at least one cooling phase causing the length of the shape memory alloy at the target transition temperature to lengthen or shorten opposite of the length change caused by the heating phase.
Abstract:
A massage tool heating or cooling device (1) for heating or cooling one or more massage tools (10). The device includes a base assembly (2) incorporating a heating or cooling element (5), a conduction plate (4) and a conductive layer (11) that is deformable to cooperate with a surface of a tool (10) to be heated in order to provide intimate thermal contact therewith. The conduction plate (4) is preferably provided with a plurality of recesses (8) and each of these recesses (8) includes a conductive layer (11). In use, heat applied or removed by the heating or cooling element (5) is transferred to or from the massage tool (10) via the conductive layer (11) and the conduction plate (4).
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a device for applying a pulsating pressure to a local region of the body and applications thereof. The device may be used to increase the blood flow in a local region of the body, and in preferred embodiments provides a device for regulating the core body temperature of a patient.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an appliance for diagnosis, performance and/or regulation of physiological functions, in particular in an anaesthetized patient, comprising a pressure device (10) for at least one body region or extremity (55) of a patient (50), wherein pressure-increasing means (21) and pressure-reducing means (22) are assigned to the pressure device (10), and a control device (30) is provided with which the pressure in the pressure device (10) can be controlled via the pressure-increasing means (21) and the pressure-reducing means (22).

Abstract:
The present invention discloses a passive trainer for incontinence treatment and rehabilitation. The trainer comprises an elongated effecter configured for being reversibly introduced entirely into the rectum via the anus; or into the vagina of a human patient; and, a stopper coupled to said effecter, said stopper being adapted to remain external and adjacent to said anus, for preventing slippage of said effecter deeper into said rectum or said vagina; wherein the treatment and rehabilitation are obtained passively without any application of external forces. The present invention further discloses a method of rehabilitating and treating incontinence.
