Abstract:
Use of an elevator system (110) can be reserved for a passenger (170) based at least in part on an indicated arrival time for a passenger trip. The passenger trip includes a portion that is carried out using the elevator system (110) and an additional portion. The passenger's elevator reservation is scheduled such that time is allotted for the passenger (170) to complete both trip portions by the indicated arrival time.
Abstract:
There is provided an elevator system capable of assigning a car that is optimum for each user individual considering the user's personal information, and capable of improving the operation efficiency while the security and convenience are assured. For this purpose, the elevator system, having a group control device 40 for controlling a plurality of elevators as a group, and a security gate 10 mounted with a personal identification device 11 that identifies the passing user and issues identification information, includes an access control device 20 that issues validation information based on the information about the user included in the identification information; a communication device 30 for transmitting a service floor call registration request for each user to the group control device based on the validation information; an assignment controlling function 41 that is provided on the group control device to determine the elevator assigned pursuant to the service floor call registration request for each user, and issue assigned elevator information for each user; and an assigned elevator notification device 12 that is installed on the security gate to notify each user of the assigned elevator information.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a response time calculation unit (22) calculates a response time of each of the cars required when the car stop call is assigned to the car. An assignment control unit (23) assigns the car stop call to the optimum car, based on the response time of each of the cars. A car load calculation unit (24) calculates a load value of each car at the time when each car starts from a registration floor of the car stop call after responding to the call. A boarding possibility determination unit (25) determines, for each car, whether the user can get on the car or not, by comparing the load value with a preset capacity value. A registration control unit (21) performs control to assign the car stop call, including a second and later responses to the registration floor of the car stop call, based on a determination result of the boarding possibility.
Abstract:
A control system for elevators controls the operations of a plurality of elevator apparatuses. The elevator apparatuses have cars and elevator doorways provided at each landing floor. The control system for the elevators is equipped with a landing call registration device, a landing call automatic registration portion, a response selection portion, a passenger traveling time period calculation portion, and an opening/closing control portion. The landing call registration device is provided at the landing floor to be operable at the landing floor. The landing call automatic registration portion sets as a car call floor the landing floor whose landing call registration device is operated, and makes a car call registration for stopping one of the cars at the car call floor. The response selection portion selects as a selected elevator that one of the elevator apparatuses which responds to the car call registration, based on information from the elevator apparatuses and information from the landing call automatic registration portion. The passenger traveling time period calculation portion sets as a selected doorway that one of the elevator doorways of the selected elevator, which is provided at the car call floor, based on information from the response selection portion, and calculates a passenger traveling time period corresponding to the selected doorway. The opening/closing control portion controls opening/closing operations of the selected doorway based on information from the selected elevator and information from the passenger traveling time period calculation portion.

Abstract:
An intelligent destination elevator control system streamlines the efficiency and control of destination elevators. The system monitors a building's population and predicts elevator traffic conditions. The system may monitor attributes of the destination elevators. Based on the monitored data, the system may generate a data structure that renders time-tables and target elevator service quality parameters that may control the destination elevators. A time¬ table and target elevator service quality parameters may be selected to control destination elevators according to one or more customer selectable mode of operation parameters. The data structure may be processed to control UP and/or DOWN transportation capacities of the destination elevators while satisfying the one or more customer selectable mode of operation parameters. Some intelligent destination elevator control systems may control when elevator cars of a group service the floors of a building. Control of the elevator cars may be flexible to allow the system to increase or decrease traffic capacities of the elevator cars in accordance with anticipated traffic conditions.
