Abstract:
Liquid printing inks for flexographic and/or gravure printing comprise solvents, colorants, if required additives, and, as a binder, at least one hyperbranched polymer having functional groups. Printing lacquers for priming unprinted print media or overcoating printed print media comprise solvents, if required additives, and, as a binder, at least one hyperbranched polymer having functional groups. Such hyperbranched polymers are used for the preparation of printing inks and of printing lacquers.

Abstract:
A high-hardness hard coat film having a reduced degree of curling and an ionizing ray polymerizable resin composition for forming the hard coat layer of such a hard coat film are provided. The hard coat film includes a resin film and a hard coat layer disposed on the surface of the resin film. The hard coat layer is formed of a cured product of a photopolymerizable composition containing an acrylic component, a hyperbranched acrylate resin, a silicone component, and silica particles. The cured product is produced by exposure to ionizing rays.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a fullerene film which can be easily formed by a wet process without deteriorating the intrinsic properties of a fullerene by using a fullerene derivative as a raw material. Also disclosed are a fullerene polymer, a method for producing a fullerene film, and a method for producing a fullerene polymer. A fullerene film or a fullerene polymer maintaining the intrinsic properties of the fullerene is obtained by coating a base with a solution of a fullerene derivative which is decomposed at a temperature lower than the thermal decomposition temperature of the fullerene, for example one represented by the formula below, and then heating the thus-obtained coating film at a temperature higher than the thermal decomposition temperature of the fullerene derivative but lower than the thermal decomposition temperature of the fullerene.
Abstract:
New anti-reflective or fill compositions having improved flow properties are provided. The compositions comprise a dendritic polymer dispersed or dissolved in a solvent system, and preferably a light attenuating compound, a crosslinking agent, and a catalyst. The inventive compositions can be used to protect contact or via holes from degradation during subsequent etching in the dual damascene process. The inventive compositions can also be applied to substrates (e.g., silicon wafers) to form anti-reflective coating layers having high etch rates which minimize or prevent reflection during subsequent photoresist exposure and developing.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Coating compositions include a crosslinker and a hyperbranched polymer and methods of producing coating compositions include combining a crosslinker and a hyperbranched polymer. Branching portions of the hyperbranched polymer include a linkage via a carbonyl group and at least two linkages via methylene groups. Branching compounds used in a process to form a hyperbranched polymer include at least one hydroxyl group and at least two oxirane groups. Resulting hyperbranched polymers can include dendrimers. Coating compositions having hyperbranched polymers and crosslinkers can be applied to a substrate and cured to form a crosslinked film.
