Abstract: An actuation system for facilitating opening and closing of a closure panel of a vehicle via a hinge, the actuation system comprising: a pop up safety system mounted to a body of the vehicle adjacent to the hinge, the pop up safety system including a bracket connected to the closure panel; and a coupling mechanism coupling the hinge to the body in order to facilitate moving the closure panel from a closed hinge position to an open hinge position, such that the bracket is also connected to the coupling mechanism; wherein when the pop up safety system is operated, the bracket is decoupled from the coupling mechanism in order to facilitate movement of the closure panel away from the coupling mechanism.

Abstract: A sunroof structure of a vehicle includes at least one first mount for being mounted to a vehicle body of the vehicle, a window panel for being disposed to a hollow portion of the vehicle and having a main body and second and third mounts disposed on a bottom side of the main body, a transmission member including first and second rotational shafts rotatably disposed with the first and second mounts respectively and at least one crank connected with the first and second rotational shafts, and a link pivotally connected between the third mount and a pivot mount of the vehicle body. As a result, the window panel is drivenable to close or open the hollow portion. The sunroof structure greatly increases the open area of the hollow portion, and provides the side shielding function for the vehicle when the window panel is opened.

Abstract: A vehicle barrier gate system which is positioned above a roadway through which vehicles pass. Some of the various embodiments of the present disclosure include a gate comprised of an arm and barrier which is adjustable between a raised position in which a vehicle may pass and a lowered position in which a vehicle is prevented from passing. The gate may be movably connected to a ceiling or an overhead support structure positioned above the roadway. Various types of actuators may be utilized to adjust the gate along a linear and/or angular path between the raised and lowered positions. A control unit may be in communication with one or more sensors and/or an authorization system to control the actuator. The gate may include a breakaway mechanism which allows the gate to be manually raised or lowered in the event of actuator failure or a vehicle ramming through the gate.

Abstract: In a wiring harness routing structure, a main link arm slidably supports a door body relative to a vehicle body, while rotationally moving relative to each of the vehicle body and the door body. Abstract: A window vent system and method automatically vents air pressure from a vehicle cabin as the vehicle door is closing. A drive mechanism is mounted to a vehicle window. A sensor senses open and closed positions of the door latch. When the latch is open, a signal is sent from the sensor to a controller to open the window. When the latch is closed, a signal is sent to the controller to close the window. Software prevents closing of the window in the event of a pinch event. The software also stops the drive mechanism if there is an obstruction to opening or closing of the window. Manual override is also provided to selectively open and close the window.
