    Abstract: A vehicle detection system 200 comprises: a receiver 202 arranged to receive data transmissions from a vehicle 210; a camera 204 arranged to capture an image of the vehicle 210; and a processing subsystem 206 arranged to implement a trained model for detecting and/or classifying vehicles in an image.
    The system 200 is arranged to operate in a first mode wherein: the camera 204 captures an image of a vehicle 210 and the receiver 202 receives a data transmission from the vehicle 210; and the processing subsystem 206 is arranged to use information resulting from the data transmission received and the image to train the model further. The system 200 is also arranged to operate in a second mode wherein: the camera 204 captures an image of a vehicle 210 and the receiver 202 does not receive a data transmission; and the processing subsystem 206 is arranged to use the image and the trained model to detect and/or classify the vehicle 210 in the image.

    Abstract: A vehicle external environment recognition apparatus to be applied to a vehicle includes one or more processors and one or more memories configured to be coupled to the one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to: calculate three-dimensional positions of respective blocks in a captured image; group the blocks to put any two or more of the blocks that have the three-dimensional positions differing from each other within a predetermined range in a group and thereby determine three-dimensional objects; identify each of a preceding vehicle of the vehicle and a sidewall on the basis of the determined three-dimensional objects; and track the preceding vehicle. The one or more processors are configured to determine, upon tracking the preceding vehicle, whether the preceding vehicle to track is to be hidden by the sidewall on the basis of a border line between a blind region and a viewable region.

    Abstract: A method for determining a fingerprint of a vehicle, including receiving a vehicle identifier and, from at least one sensor, at least one vehicle appearance each including image data informative of vehicle scan. The said appearance is associated with a unique appearance time tag. Then, segmenting the image data into segments each being informative of components of the vehicle. Then, determining marker instances from the image scan, wherein each marker instance is associated with a marker class and marker features. Then, storing data indicative of the vehicle's fingerprint including the vehicle identifier and its corresponding (i) vehicle appearance and associated appearance time tag, (ii) the so determined marker instances, thereby facilitating verification of the fingerprint of the vehicle in future vehicle scan(s).

    Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for real-time vehicular parking enforcement are provided. The system can include a data processing system (“DPS”) comprising one or more processors and memory. The DPS can receive data captured by one or more cameras. The DPS can detect entry of a vehicle into the facility. The DPS can determine an identification number for the vehicle. The DPS can track the vehicle to a parking spot. The DPS can generate a parking event for the vehicle. The DPS can establish a timer for querying a transaction processing system. The DPS can query the transaction processing system for transaction information associated with the identification number. The DPS can generate a violation event for the vehicle. The DPS can classify the violation event. The DPS can overlay, on a digital map of the facility, an icon on the parking spot that indicates the classification of the violation event.

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes an image processing unit and a determination unit. The image processing unit acquires a plurality of images (e.g., frame images) generated by an image capturing apparatus. Then, the image processing unit processes an image including the same person (a first person) among the plurality of images, and thereby detects a change in an angle of a body of the first person. Moreover, the image processing unit detects, at least when magnitude of the change satisfies a criterion, information relating to a second person or an object (an attention target) existing in a direction in which the body leans. The determination unit outputs predetermined information by use of a processing result of the image processing unit. As one example, the determination unit outputs predetermined information, when a first criterion relating to at least one of the attention target and the first person described above is satisfied.
