Abstract: A system for providing situational awareness to a cyclist or other user of a micromobility vehicle comprises a stereo camera assembly and processing logic configured to determine, based on images acquired by the stereo camera assembly, a distance between the cyclist and an object of interest (e.g., a vehicle). The system is configured to determine a threat level of the object based one or more factors such as, e.g., a speed of the object and/or a category of the object. In some examples, the system includes a display and/or an audio indicator to convey information to the cyclist about detected threats. In some examples, the system is configured to produce an audio indication in response to a threat exceeding a threshold threat level. A software platform may be configured to store and/or process micromobility data gathered from one or more users.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for controlling traffic lights according to predicted traffic patterns, comprising receiving one or more image sequence comprising a plurality of images captured by one or more imaging sensor deployed to monitor vehicle traffic in one or more intersection in which traffic light(s) is deployed to control traffic flow, generating a traffic dataset descriptive of time series movement of all vehicles tracked in the image sequence(s), applying a first trained machine learning model to map, based on the traffic dataset, a traffic pattern of the tracked vehicles to one or more of a plurality of learned traffic patterns, applying a second trained machine learning model to predict one or more subsequent traffic patterns based on the mapped traffic pattern, and generating instructions for controlling the traffic light(s) according to the predicted subsequent traffic pattern(s).

Abstract: Systems and methods for traffic violation prediction. The systems and methods include obtaining a plurality of bounding boxes of road scene categories from an input dataset by employing a pre-trained detection model. A plurality of pseudo-labels of road scene categories for the plurality of bounding boxes can be obtained by employing the pre-trained detection model. A labeled dataset can be obtained by filtering the input dataset for images having the plurality of pseudo-labels and the plurality of bounding boxes. A traffic violation prediction model can be trained with both unlabeled and labeled dataset including the road scene categories obtained from the pre-trained detection model to predict simultaneous traffic violations of one or more riders in a road scene.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a vehicle external detection device. An imaging device and a radar device are mounted in a vehicle and configured to detect a rear lateral side of the vehicle. Detection regions of the imaging device and the radar device are overlapped with each other. The vehicle external detection device includes an imaging occlusion occurrence detection device and a correction device. The imaging occlusion occurrence detection device is configured to detect, from image information detected by the imaging device, an object and an occurrence of an occlusion where the object shields a distant viewing angle. The correction device is configured to correct position information of the object detected by the radar device when the imaging occlusion occurrence detection device detects the occurrence of the occlusion.

Abstract: A data transmitter is to be mounted on an autonomous driving vehicle. The data transmitter determines whether a confidence score indicating the degree of reliability of detection of the object from the area image is greater than a predetermined confidence score threshold; transmits, when the confidence score regarding the area image is greater than the confidence score threshold, the area image or a face image representing the face of a driver to a terminal, together with a first setting for displaying the area image or the face image on the terminal in first mode; and transmits, when the confidence score is less than the confidence score threshold, the area image to the terminal, together with a second setting for displaying the area image on the terminal in second mode that draws more attention of a user of the terminal than the first mode.
