Abstract:
A personal audio device comprises a first speaker housing (10) having a speaker (12) associated therewith, and a second speaker housing (18) having a speaker (20) associated therewith, wherein the first and second speaker housings (10, 18) are provided with wireless communication means whereby an audio signal can be transmitted from the first speaker housing (10) to the second speaker housing (18) for output by the speaker (20) associated with the second speaker housing (18).
Abstract:
A wireless earphone that comprises a transceiver circuit for receiving streaming audio from a data source over a local ad hoc wireless network. When the data source and the earphone are out of range, they transition automatically to an infrastructure wireless network. If there is no common infrastructure wireless network for both the data source and the speakerphone set, the earphone connects to a host server via an available wireless network.
Abstract:
A wearable audio interface includes a support for positioning the plurality of speakers juxtaposed to and spaced from the ears of a wearer. The audio device can include wireless networking electronics so as to allow the device to interact with other wireless network devices.
Abstract:
An earphone set with a first earphone and a second earphone, the earphone set comprising: a connector for connecting the first earphone and the second earphone; a memory module for storing audio data; and a power management module for preventing short circuit or inductive surge in current arising from connection or disconnection of the first earphone or the second earphone from the connector, the first earphone comprising: a first sound driver for sound production; and a power supply module for powering the earphone set; the second earphone comprising: a second sound driver for sound production; and a processing unit for converting the stored audio data in the memory module into sound producible by the first sound driver and the second sound driver, the power supply module being adapted to provide power to the first sound driver, the memory module, the second sound driver, and the processing unit, the connector enabling a functional connection between the first earphone and the second earphone, the memory module being resided in at least one of the first earphone, the second earphone and the connector, wherein the connector being coupled to at least one controller for manipulating sound produced by the first and second sound drivers and being detachably connected to the first earphone or the second earphone.
Abstract:
Electronic devices such as compact portable media players are provided. A housing for an electronic device may be relatively compact. The housing may include a door assembly with an attached spring-loaded clip. The electronic device may include a hold switch. Depending on the state of the hold switch, the electronic device may be in an off mode, a continuous playback mode, or a shuffle playback mode. The electronic device may not have integrated media playback controls such as play, pause, rewind, fast forward, etc. As one example, the electronic device may connect to an accessory that has media playback controls. Buttons and other user interfaces may be included in the accessory and user input information may be conveyed between the accessory and the electronic device using a wired path including audio connectors. The electronic device may include a printed circuit board assembly that is nested together with a battery assembly.
Abstract:
A headphones arrangement comprising an ear piece arranged to accommodate at least a part of an audio player and storage device therein along with a loud speaker, the housing incorporating a peripheral seal as an effective moisture barrier to ingress of moisture within the housing.
Abstract:
In a playback apparatus formed by a playback apparatus main body (1) and wireless headphone (2), music data is read out from a recording medium (17), is decoded by a decoder (18), and the decoded music data is transmitted from a digital wireless transmitter (19) to the headphone in the form of digital data in the playback apparatus main body. In the wireless headphone (2), the music data transmitted from the playback apparatus main body is received by a digital wireless receiver, the received music data is temporarily saved in a buffer memory (23), the saved music data is read out from the buffer memory (23), the readout data is converted by a D/A converter (24) from digital data into an analog signal, and the analog signal is converted into sound via loudspeakers (25).
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a head-wearable assembly. The head-wearable assembly includes a band that has a first end, a second end, an inner surface, an outer surface, and a generally U-shaped curve between the first end and the second end. On the outer surface of the band is a threaded housing proximal to the first end of the band. The threaded housing has an outer end that faces away from the band and an inner end. The head-wearable assembly also includes an earphone structure, which includes an earphone connected to a threaded arm configured to be coupled with the threaded housing such that the earphone is held at a distance from the first end of the band. When the earphone structure is twisted, the distance between the earphone and the first end of the band is adjusted.
Abstract:
A protective helmet (10) has a shell (20), a liner (30), and a control device (50) that includes a receiver. A recess (40) is formed in an outer surface (34) of the liner (30) adjacent a rear edge (29) of the shell (20), to receive the control device (50). A battery (60) operably connected with the control device (50), and side recesses (44) formed in the outer surface (22) of the liner (30) adjacent the side edges (28) of the shell (20) contain speakers (62) electronically connected to the control device (50). The control device (50) streams music from the portable electronic device (70) to the speakers (62).
