Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a spectral video system which can speedily obtain data and has high resolution. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a light source 110, an optical modulating means 120 which forms a lighting aperture and guides a predetermined lighting pattern to make the position of an object of inspection conjugate, and an analyzing means 150 equipped with a detection aperture, a spectral dispersing element, and a detector camera 156. Then the lighting and detection apertures are arranged on a conjugate plane and the optical modulating means 120 consists of a two-dimensional array of optical modulating elements; and the groups of the elements constituting the two-dimensional array are arranged so as to form the lighting aperture according to the lighting pattern and the optical modulating element 120 is so controlled that the lighting pattern varies the conjugate position of the object depending upon the time.
Abstract:
A spectrometer for identifying a mixture is provided. The spectrometer includes a detector configured to generate a signal based on an interaction of light with a sample of the mixture, and a memory device having a library and a correlation matrix stored therein, wherein the library includes a plurality of spectra, each spectrum associated with a respective compound, and wherein the correlation matrix includes a correlation between each possible pair of spectra in the library. The spectrometer further includes a processor coupled to the memory device and configured to determine a spectrum of the mixture based on the signal generated by the detector, calculate a correlation vector that includes a correlation between the mixture spectrum and each spectrum in the library, and identify the mixture based on the correlation matrix and the correlation vector.
