Abstract: The composition and the preparation of multifunctional high-concentrate masterbatches for production of expanded materials of aromatic polyesters are disclosed in this invention. The masterbatch is comprised of a thermoplastic wax having a vicat softening temperature not higher than 100°C and a high-percentage of a multifunctional compound, wherein the preparation is characterized by a) a low temperature process with a masterbatch temperature lower than 100°C before cooling and b) cooling without contact of the mixture with water during the whole process. The high-concentrate masterbatch can be applied in production of expanded materials of polyester.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an extrusion line for reactive foam extrusion comprising a primary extruder (1) having a hopper (5) for loading of raw materials into feeding zone of the primary extruder (1), and further comprising a gas injector (7) being arranged in the primary extruder (1), and an extrusion die (9). A side feeding equipment (6a, 12, 16) for loading of reactive additives into the primary extruder (1) is positioned between the feeding zone of the primary extruder 1) and the gas injector (7). The invention further relates to a reactive extrusion process to produce foamed cellular material comprised of a thermoplastic polymer using the above mentioned extrusion line, wherein the thermoplastic polymer is fed into the hopper (5), while reactive additives are loaded into the primary extruder (1) by using a side feeding equipment (6a, 12, 16) located between the feeding zone of the primary extruder (1) and the gas injector (7).

Abstract: By process for the continuous manufacture of an insulating tube having at least three layers, is extruded a tube (11) of thermally insulating material. A sliding material (14) is adhesively applied to the inside of the tube. The tube that has been spread out to form a slab and has the sliding material applied on the inside is returned to the tubular shape with cut surfaces (12) resting against each other. The cut surfaces (12) of the tube are joined to each other and a seamless covering layer (16) is applied to the outside of the tube.
