    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sticking between side rails and the spacer expander of a combination oil ring.SOLUTION: In a combination oil ring 10, which includes a pair of top and bottom side rails 11, 12, and a spacer expander 13 disposed therebetween. The spacer expander includes: a lot of top pieces 14 and bottom pieces 15 alternately arranged in axial and circumferential directions at intervals; connecting pieces 16 connecting adjacent top and bottom pieces; and ear parts 17, 18 raised from inner circumferential side ends of the top and bottom pieces for pushing the side rails. Side rail support portions 14a, 15a projecting in an axial direction are formed in a circumferential part of the outer circumferential side ends of each of the top and bottom pieces 14 and 15.
