본 발명에 따른 발모 및 육모 촉진용 조성물은 함량이 증가된 진세노사이드 Rb2, Rc 및 Rg1을 포함함으로써, 종래기술에 의한 발모제 이상의 발모 및 육모 촉진 효과를 나타낼 수 있다. 또한, 식물성 천연물을 사용하기 때문에 안전성이 우수하므로 발모 및 육모 촉진을 위한 피부 외용제로 사용할 수 있으며, 화장료 조성물, 약학 조성물 및 식품 조성물 등에 널리 사용될 수 있다.

본 발명은 백화고 유래의 에르고스테롤을 함유하는 피부 외용제 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 백화고 추출물로부터 분리 정제하여 수득한 에르고스테롤인 3 β ,5 α -디하이드록시-6 β -메톡시-(22 E ,24 R )-에르고스타-7,22-디엔; 6- O -메틸세레비스테롤을 함유함으로써 우수한 미백 효능을 나타내는 피부 외용제 조성물에 관한 것이다.
