Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for protecting a multiprotocol label switch path is provided to protect paths by assigning prompt sharing resources in case of label switch path trouble, thereby providing the reliable service to subscribers. CONSTITUTION: An interface-monitoring device(201) senses the trouble in LSPs(Label Switch Path) between MPLS(Multi Protocol Label Switch) systems(200,300) and reports the trouble to an MPLS LSP manager(202). The MPLS LSP manager(202) searches LSP data related to the corresponding resources and requests an MPLS sharing resources manager(203) to assign system resources for path protection. The MPLS sharing resources manager(203) confirms VPI/VCI for path protection and port data, assigns the corresponding LSP, and then reports to the MPLS system(300). The MPLS system(300) changes VPI/VCI for path protection and port data, and responses to the MPLS system(200) with the changes. The MPLS system(200) transmits the changes to the MPLS LSP manager(202). The MPLS LSP manager(202) changes the state of resources for path protection and isolates the resources from assignment request.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for monitoring an occupation rate of a device on a communication path system in a switching system is provided to make it easy to determine the time for expanding and repairing a device, by monitoring the occupation rate continuously, and outputting a message to an operator when the occupation rate more than a critical value occurs. CONSTITUTION: When an operator inputs a device occupation requesting instruction via an operator terminal(30), a resource managing block(22) transmits a signal for requesting the occupation data of the device to a call processing block(21). The call processing block(21) divides the occupation data of the device that is managed in real time into the data of total mounted devices and that of currently occupied devices, and then transmits the divided data to a resource managing block(22).
