An apparatus for providing a terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) video service stores transport stream (TS) packets of a sub-channel of a video service to be transmitted through a communications network in association with a broadcasting network, in a stream DB, and when a request for a video stream in a bookmarked position is received through the communications network from a user, the apparatus searches the stream DB for a TS packet in the bookmarked position and transmits the searched TS packet through the communications network in an Internet protocol (IP) streamlining manner.

이종망 연계된 방송 스트림 전송 시스템에서 전송 스트림간 비트율을 보정하는 방법 및 장치가 제공된다. 본 발명은 방송망을 통해 고정비트율로 전송되는 제1 스트림을 수신함, 통신망을 통해 상황에 따라 가변비트율로 전송되는 제2 스트림을 수신함 및 상기 제1 스트림을 기초로 상기 제2 스트림의 비트율을 조절함을 포함한다.

Provided are a method and apparatus for constructing SFN by the time synchronization of ETI signals outputted from different ensemble multiplexers. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ETI signal which is time-synchronized with a specific ETI signal is outputted by the synchronization of time-synchronization related parameters included in the ETI frame even if a basic hierarchy and an improvement hierarchy are outputted from different ensemble multiplexers in an AT-DMB system. Therefore, by using the method and apparatus for ETI time synchronization according to the embodiment of the present invention, costs due to the addition of an AT-DMB exclusive ensemble multiplexer are reduced because an existing T-DMB ensemble multiplexer can be recycled in the construction of AT-DMB SFN.

PURPOSE: An apparatus for supporting contents handover and a method thereof are provided to support the contents handover by being linked to a communication network in order for a user to watch broadcast contents continuously when signal transmission is unstable while the broadcast contents is provided through a broadcast network. CONSTITUTION: A handover controller (30) provides broadcast contents, by handing over to the other transmission network from a transmission network which provides broadcast contents to a user terminal among a communication network and a broadcast network. The handover controller decodes the broadcast contents in advance through the other transmission network if the handover controller enters a handover expected area as providing the broadcast contents through the transmission network. The handover controller supports continuous handover according as providing the pre-decoded broadcast contents to the user terminal through the other transmission network during handover. PURPOSE: A signal receiving apparatus in MIMO-OFDM systems and a running method thereof are provided to apply adaptive QRD-M based on virtual channel payoff matrix. CONSTITUTION: A running method of signal receiving apparatus in MIMO-OFDM systems comprises the following steps: converting signal of input radio frequency band into baseband signal by a RF processing unit(50); outputting parallel frequency domain symbols of a plurality of subcarriers by fast Fourier transform(FFT) of the baseband signal by an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) demodulation unit(60); applying an algorithm which reduces condition number for channel matrix formed between a transmitter and a receiver by a channel estimation unit(70) using the plurality of subcarriers; calculating new virtual channel matrices by the channel estimation unit; and applying QRD-M detecting technique to the parallel frequency domain symbols and the virtual channel matrices by a signal detection unit(80).

PURPOSE: A broadcasting service providing method of a broadcasting signal transceiving apparatus is provided to transmit integrated EPG information including physical channel information though an additionally secured improved layer. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting signal receiving apparatus receives integrated EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information with the selection of an integrated EPG channel(S1110). The broadcasting signal receiving apparatus extracts the physical channel information of each frequency block within a corresponding broadcasting frequency with the analysis of the integrated EPG information(S1120,S1130). If a user selects a special channel, the broadcasting signal receiving apparatus moves to a channel within a corresponding frequency block with the extracted physical channel information(S1140,S1150). The broadcasting signal receiving apparatus extracts a broadcasting service from a corresponding channel(S1160).

PURPOSE: A signal receiving apparatus and method are provided to reinforce the function of the signal receiving apparatus by transmitting only the minimum signaling information to an advanced layer even when there is no specific signaling information of a base-layer broadcast signal out of the AT-DMB(Advanced Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcast) signals of a signal transmitting apparatus. CONSTITUTION: A demodulator(220) demodulates the broadcast signal of a signal transmission apparatus. Based on a layer modulation mode value, the demodulator demodulates the broadcast signal again. Fast information channel data signal processors(230,240) output the fast information channel data of a first layer and the fast information channel data of a second layer through the first fast information channel data of the demodulator. A layer modulation mode extractor(260) extracts a layer modulation mode value from the fast information channel data of the second layer.
