Abstract: Se describe un anulador de interferencia de CDMA de espectro de diseminacion para reducir la interferencia en un receptor de DS/CDMA que tiene canales de codigo de chip N. El anulador de interferencia incluye una pluralidad de correlacionadores (54, 64, 74), una pluralidad de circuitos de procedimiento de espectro de diseminacion (65, 65, 75), circuitos de sustraccion (150), y correlacionadores de canal (146). Utilizando una pluralidad de señales de codigo de chip generadas a partir de generadores de señal de palabra clave de chip (52, 62, 72), los correlacionadores (54, 64, 74) no diseminan la señal de CDMA de espectro de diseminacion como una pluralidad de señales no diseminadas. La pluralidad de circuitos de procesamiento de espectro de diseminacion (55, 65, 75) utiliza una version de tiempo controlado de la pluralidad de señales de codigo de chip generadas de los dispositivos de retraso (53, 63, 73), para procesar por espectro de diseminacion la pluralidad de señales no diseminadas. Para recuperar un canal de codigo utilizando una señal de codigo de chip iava, los circuitos de sustraccion (150) sustraen la señal de CDMA de espectro de diseminacion , cada una de las señales no diseminadas procesadas por espectro de diseminacion N-1 generando así una señal sustraída. El canal-correlacionador (146) no disemina la señal sustraída.

Abstract: Un sistema de comunicación de banda ancha, de acceso múltiple, procesa numerosas senales de información recibidas por una estación portadora de radio(Radio Carrier Station (RCS)) a través de líneas de telecomunicación para la transmisiónsimu ltánea a través de un canal de frecuencia de radio (RF) comouna senal en múltiplex de división de códigos (CDM) a un grupo de unidades de abonados (SUs). La RCS que recibe una senal de pedido de llamada responde a unasenal de información delínea a d e telecomunicación y una senal de identificación del usuario que identifica a un usuario al cual está dirigido el pedido dellamada y la senal de información. La RCS incluye numerosos modems de acceso múltiple a la división de códigos(Code Div isio n Multiple Acces (CDMA)), unode los cuales provee una senal de código piloto global, y los modems proveen numerosas senales de código de mensajes sincronizadas a la senal piloto global.En respuesta a una senal de asignación decanal, cada mod em co mbina una senal de información con una senal de código de mensaje para proveer una senalprocesada por CDM. La RCS incluye un controlador de canal de sistema acoplado para recibir llamadas remotas. La RCS que provee la senalde asignación de canal responde a la senal de identificación del usuario. Un transmisor de RF está conectado a todos los modems para combinar las senales procesadas por CDMcon la senal de código piloto global para generar una senal CDM. Eltransmisor de RF tambié n modu la una senal portadora con la senal CDM y transmite la senalportadora modulada a través de un canal de comunicación de RF a los SUs. Cada SU correspondiente a la senal de identificación del usuario incluye unmodemCDMA que también está sincr onizado a la senal piloto global. El modem CDMA para recuperar la senal de información y provee la senal de información al usuario.

Abstract: The invention provides a spread spectrum communication system for maintaining an initial transmit power level of a communication station during periods of inactivity. The system comprises a first station (501) and a second station (502), the initial transmit power level of which is maintained, wherein the first station generates an automatic power control signal by comparing a measured noise power level in a communication channel and an estimated system transmit power level and the second station occasionally transmits a spread spectrum signal whilst in an inactive state and receives the automatic power control signal to adjust an initial transmit power level thereof.

Abstract: An automatic power control (APC) system for a spread-spectrum communication s system includes an automatic forward power control (AFPC) system; and an automatic reverse power control (ARPC) system. In the AFPC, each subscriber unit (SU) measures a forward signal-to-noise ratio of a respective forward channel information signal to generate a respective forward channel error signal which includes a measure of the uncorrelated noise in the channel and a measure of the error between the respective forwa rd signal-to--noise ration and a pre determined signal-to-noise value. A control signal generate d from the respective forward channel error signal is transmitted as part of a respective reverse channel information signal. A base unit includes AFPC receivers which receiv e respective reverse channel information signals and extract the forward channel error signals therefrom to adjust the power levels of the respective forward spread-spectrum signals . In the ARPC system, each base measures a reverse signal-to-noise ratio of each of the respective reverse channel information signals and generates a respective reverse channel error signal which includes a measure of the uncorrelated noise in the channel and a measure of the error between the respective reverse signal-to-noise ratio and a predetermined signal-to-noise value. The base unit transmits a control signal generated from the respectiv e reverse channel error signal as a part of a respective forward channel information signal. Each SU includes an ARPC receiver which receives the forward channel information signal and extracts the respective reverse error signal to adjust the reverse transmit power level of the respective reverse spread-spectrum signal.
