Abstract:
A process and reaction vessel for producing alkyl nitrite is disclosed, the process comprising (a) contacting nitric oxide¸ lower alcohol and oxygen in a reaction zone such that alkyl nitrite is formed, said reaction zone comprising a reactor section and a rectification section, (b) supplying a liquid scrubbing agent to an upper portion of the rectification section, (c) withdrawing a gaseous alkyl nitrite product stream from the upper portion of the rectification section, and (d) withdrawing a liquid stream from a lower portion of the reactor section. The reactor section provides intimate vapor-liquid contact sufficient to enhance the conversion of nitric oxide to alkyl nitrite and the rectification section provides sufficient vapor residence time to enhance conversion of oxygen, as well as sufficient rectification capabilities to reduce the amounts of water and nitric acid in the gaseous alkyl nitrite product stream.

A process for the nitration of one or more organic compounds comprising passing a stream comprising a mixture of hydrogen peroxide vapour, nitrogen dioxide and vapour of the one or more organic compounds through a reactor containing an acidic solid surface, the stream being in contact with the said surface, and removing from the reactor a product vapour stream comprising nitrated derivatives of the one or more organic compounds.

C-C-알킬아질산염은, 삼산화이질소로서의질소산화물즉, a) 그자체로서, b) 일산화질소와의혼합물로서, 또는 c) 이의전구체인일산화탄소/이산화질소또는일산화탄소/사산화이질소의혼합물로서반응기하부에서사용함을특징으로하여, 스크러버컬럼으로서설계된반응기내에서산소의관여없이 C-C-알칸올을질소산화물과반응시킴으로써제조할수 있다. 한편사용된 C-C-알칸올의총 양중 5 내지 60%가기화또는분무형태로반응기의하부내에서사용되는반면, 나머지 C-C-알칸올은컬럼상부로이동된다.

In a continuous process for the preparation of alkyl nitrites and dinitrites, an alkanol or dialkanol is first mixed with an aqueous mineral acid, the reaction mixture obtained is then reacted with an inorganic nitrite and the product obtained can then be isolated immediately.

A process of producing C1-C4 alkyl nitrite, comprising the following steps: a) firstly feeding nitrogen oxide and oxygen into Reactor I, contacting with an aluminosilicate catalyst, and reacting to produce an effluent I containing NO2 and unreacted NO; b) feeding the effluent I and C1-C4 alkanol into Reactor II, and reacting to produce an effluent II containing C1-C4 alkyl nitrite; and c) separating the effluent II containing C1-C4 alkyl nitrite to obtain C1-C4 alkyl nitrite; wherein reactor I is a fixed bed reactor, and Reactor II is a rotating high-gravity reactor; said nitrogen oxide in step a) is NO, or a mixed gas containing NO and one or more of N2O3 and NO2, wherein the molar number of NO is greater than that of NO2, if any; and the molar ratio of NO in nitrogen oxide to oxygen is 4-25:1.
