Stellantrieb (9) mit zumindest einem Stellarm (12), insbesondere zum Antrieb einer Klappe (23) eines Möbels, mit einem Grundkörper (15), an dem der Stellarm (12) schwenkbar gelagert ist und mit einer Federvorrichtung (19) zum Beaufschlagen des Stellarmes (12), wobei der Stellantrieb (9) eine Bremsvorrichtung (1) aufweist, deren Wirkung derart von der Schwenkgeschwindigkeit des Stellarmes (12) abhängt, dass der Stellarm (12) unterhalb einer vorgegebenen Schwenkgeschwindigkeit im Wesentlichen frei bewegbar ist und dass die Bremsvorrichtung (1) den Stellarm (12) bei einer Schwenkgeschwindigkeit größer gleich der vorgegebenen Schwenkgeschwindigkeit bremst.

A mechanism for preventing injury to a person's or child's hand when a door (12) slams against a door frame or jamb. The mechanism comprises a casing (18) positioned within a hollowed-out portion of the door (12). The casing (18) is constructed with an opening (18a) disposed along the edge (12a) of the door (12). A metallic pendulum (20) is housed and suspended within the casing such that the pendulum (20) to swing outwardly through the opening. A raised metal body (14) is attached to the slide molding of the door frame or jamb and engages the outwardly swung pendulum (20) to prevent the door from completely closing.

A safety mechanism for preventing door slamming includes a board and a pivot extending from the board. A rotatable arm is attached at a first end to the pivot. Door arresting wedge (AW) is attached substantially perpendicularly to the second end of the arm. One or more magnets are disposed on the board for attracting the arm. One or more magnets disposed on an edge of the arm, and a matching stopper is used to limit the rotation of the arm.

A brake-equipped retracting device (3) returns a liquid crystal display device (1) from a deployed position (1B) to a stored position (1A) using an elastic returning force of a spiral spring (18) that is wound up when the liquid crystal display device (1) is opened by the rotational force of a motor. A braking force for preventing the liquid crystal display device (1) from returning with too much force is applied to an input shaft (17a) of a reducer by having a rope (21) whose tensile force increases and decreases in relation to the opening and closing of the liquid crystal display device (1) be wound around a slip clutch (15) that is connected to the input shaft (17a). In emergency situations such as when the rope (21) breaks, a centrifugal grip (53) of a rotation-restraining mechanism (50) strikes an engagement notch surface (56b) on a fixed side, and the rotation of the input shaft (17a) is forcibly halted. A retracting device for a liquid crystal display device comprising a braking device that has a simple structure, is reliable, is highly safe, and is low in cost can be realized.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing drive unit of an opening and closing body for a vehicle, which has a simpler and lightweight structure, which enables power transmission between an electric driving source and the opening and closing body while permitting the manual opening and closing of the opening and closing body, and which is equipped with a clutch mechanism capable of absorbing an impact load generated, for example, when a force in a direction opposite to an operative direction is applied to the opening and closing body during operation. SOLUTION: This opening and closing drive unit of the opening and closing body for the vehicle includes: an output shaft 30 which is connected to an electric motor serving as the driving source for bringing about the opening and closing motions of the opening and closing body openably and closably supported by a vehicle body, and which power-transmits the driving force of the electric motor to the opening and closing body so as to open and close the opening and closing body via a first link 25 etc.; and a clutch mechanism 40 which is arranged on a power transmission path between the electric motor and the output shaft 30, and which has a viscous fluid F transmitting the power to the output shaft 30 from the electric motor by its own viscosity.
